Join us for an evening of pizza, quantum breakthroughs, and beers with the team from Quantum Rings.
This presentation will be an overview of the different elements of the Colorado Quantum Landscape that have contributed to the powerful and unique Quantum ecosystem in Colorado. This includes key players in the areas of academia (CU, CSU, School of Mines), federal and state government (NIST, State of Colorado OEDIT), public-private partnerships (Elevate Quantum), and the private sector and industry. There will also be an overview of the new Quantum Incubator facility being launched in Boulder for early stage quantum technology startups starting their commercialization journey.

Tanya Ramond, MBA PhD has held a front-row seat to the evolution of the Quantum landscape in Colorado. She earned her PhD from the University of Colorado JILA and completed a postdoc at NIST Time and Frequency Division. From there she started her career in industry, spending 10 years at Ball Aerospace (BAE Systems), then continuing on in deep tech, moving into roles at multiple startup companies in aerospace and quantum. During this time, her interest pivoted from the generation of new technologies to the commercialization of new technologies. She earned her MBA from the University of Denver and her roles encompassed product management and strategy positions. In 2022 she launched Sapienne Consulting, dedicated to helping intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs in deep tech arenas with commercialization and product strategy. She is a regular reviewer for SBIR (Small Business Innovative Research) grants and the State of Colorado Advanced Industries grants, as well as being a mentor for entrepreneurs in TechStars and other incubator/accelerators.
Whether you're a researcher, engineer, or just quantum-curious, this session will give you a fresh perspective on what’s possible—and what’s next.
