Please arrive 10 minutes early to settle in, so we may begin our practice at 5:30pm. I will lock the door a couple minutes before class starts, so we can relax and let go of any stress or tension from the week.
This class is meant to be available to all ages and levels, on the mat/floor or in a chair. It can be made as easy or challenging for each practitioner. As the tissues, muscles and joints relax to allow more range of motion, flexibility and fluidity, you will experience softening of tight muscles and increased limberness. This practice is gentle, and can easily be adapted to what your upper body needs.
I personally use this practice every other morning to keep my body in shape to excel in my massage therapy career. Opening the chest, shoulders, and thus, heart, we will stretch the front, as well as the sides and back body to encourage connective tissues to be supple and fluid.
We will mostly be seated, with a short amount of time on our backs and standing/folding forward to stretch the hips, low back and legs, since they are so closely connected to upper back/shoulder/neck pain. The focus will be on the neck, shoulders and upper back. It's all Connected!
A Complete body stretch for overall Wellness is key!
We will end with Shavasana, and an Om to integrate the Practice, release old, stagnant energy and welcome in fresh, healthy energy to end our Yoga Happy Hour. I like to incorporate essential oils, singing bowls, chimes, and other intentional fun tools into every one of my sessions.
I look forward to sharing knowledge of Yoga, the Human Body and Wellness Techniques as we all support each other in our Journey around The Sun. Namaste.
