What we’re about

Come join the movement and get some movement! Modern Square Dancing is a wonderful way to socialize, learn a new skill, and have some fun!

Mainstream square dance lessons are being offered by Connecticut’s favorite caller Bill Mager at three local area clubs starting in September. These lessons introduce square dancing to new dancers.

Bill Mager is a square dance caller/instructor and recording artist with over 30 years of experience. He has called dances all over the country, recorded and produced several records of square dance music. As a caller, Bill is energetic, interesting, fun to listen to and challenges the dancers as they move through the patterns.

As explained by Bill, square dancing reflects the current times. The music is contemporary. There are no dress requirements. Square dancers benefit by learning new skills in a social setting. Singles and older children are welcome. Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian with them for lessons. Most lessons run between $5-7 dollars per person for the evening. Children 18 and under are FREE.
