What we’re about

Welcome to Cotswold Adventurers Outdoors.

In 2024 my life had a dramatic change, I began a journey of doing more of what makes me happy. So I started this group, with the aim of doing more activities, and if individuals wanted to join me, then that is great, if not I'd still be having fun.

Now June 2025 and the group has grown and developed into what it is now. Members of the group now run and host events, the group has changed from being my group to a community group run by us all.

In April 25 we had to introduce subscription fees. This was to cover the rising Meetup costs. Members can attend 3 events with out paying per year. After you 3rd event you have the option of signing up for 6 months (£5) or 12 months (£10).

All that is left for me to say is welcome to the group and I look forward to meeting you.

Below are some basic housekeeping group rules that you agree to by being part of this meet group. Should not need to mention these, so far everyone has been lovely and respectful, let us keep it that way. Anyone found breaking these rules could be removed, or banned from the group for a set period of time or permanently. You subscription fees will not be refunded if you break these rules rules.

  1. Members must have a current headshot. Those who become members have 48 hours to update their picture for the group.
  2. Members must have a given name. Not their hobby, job, etc.
  3. The group has a 3-strike rule within 6 months. A "no show" to an open event is 1 strike. A no-show to a numbered event is 2 strikes.
  4. no shows are classed as cancelling within 24hours with out a valid reason, or notifying the event l host of your cancellation if within 24hrs of an event.
  5. If a member turns up to an event they did not RSVP they are removed.
  6. If you haven't been to an event in 6 months you may be removed from the group.
  7. Please do not spam the group, send unsolicited messages to group members on whatsapp or Meetup, or sexually harass group members. Spammers, senders of unsolicited messages, and harassers will be removed and reported to the police. It is now a criminal offence to send unsolicited images and messages to individuals.
  8. Failure to pay subscriptions will result in the individual being removed from future events until paid.
