We want our rides to be safe and enjoyable, and we obey speed limits - however, it is essential to use a machine that is capable of accelerating briskly to 60 or 70 mph and maintaining that speed as required.
We use the "drop off" system. Where the route is not obviously straight ahead, number 2 rider must wait in a safe position to direct all following riders - re-joining the ride in front of the back marker. Where possible the leader will point out where No. 2 should wait but it remains the responsibility of No. 2 to guide all following riders in the required direction.
Please feel free to overtake within the group and possibly take number 2 position if this will assist a less confident rider.
