Welcome to the Creative Readers Guild! We're a Pasadena-based community of people who love stories and art.
Book clubs are wonderful, but this is not your typical book club. This is instead a space for creative readers to get together, socialize, discuss all sorts of books, talk about what we've read, been reading or would like to read, play storytelling games, create art and make new friends.
For those not familiar with the term 'Story Game', these are storytelling games where we collaboratively create a story by building upon each others' creative contributions. There's a lot creativity, improv, roleplaying and laughter involved. As people who have lived a lot through reading books, this makes our games even more fun! Whether you want to meet others, discuss books, improve your storytelling skills, create art or collaboratively create epic tales, you’ll find different events for it here.
* Note that the 'Story Games' events are currently limited in size because they're best experienced in small groups (4-8 people). If there's enough interest, we may start increasing the attendee limit over time and split into groups.
