Anyone interested in a more historical D&D or Pathfinder game? I put a lot of Medieval history and culture into my games and try to learn something as I have fun. I guess I would call it low or lower fantasy style, but I leave much up to the players on what the final setting looks like. I would still do high fantasy if that is what everyone wanted. I have even played Star Wars with a British Imperial style flare to it.
I have recently read several books on the Crusades from both the Frankish and Islamic perspectives. I have also delved into the specific monastic military orders, such as the Templars and Hospitallers and the Mamluk slave warriors of Islamic states. From this I have written a Medieval RPG on the Crusades. I can use this or even place some of it over a Pathfinder setting for added reality.
I also have a Master's Degree in History with an emphasis on Ancient Rome and the Middle Ages. I use this to add flavor to all campaigns.
I would prefer nights and mostly on weekend nights.
