Hello and welcome to Dallas Weekend Social. My name is Gus and I’ll be your host for this Meetup group. I’m originally from Los Angeles and I recently moved to Dallas. My goal is to be your tour guide and create a community where we can explore the city, enjoy outdoors activities, experience music and culture festivals, and make new friends. I'll be hosting events relating to the following activities:
- Hiking
- Kayaking
- Game Night
- Salsa and 2-step dancing
- Trips to Botanical Gardens, Zoo, Museum, and Aquarium
- Theme Parks
- Culture Festivals
- Dinner party
- Meditation and Yoga at the park
My goal is to create a safe environment where members can socialize and be their authentic self. If there is any situation where you feel unsafe, concerned, or you have questions, please be free to contact me directly. Let’s get together to party like a Zombie in Oak Lawn’s famous Halloween Block party this year. Come dress up in your unique costume (not required). This event is FREE! There will be:
- Costume Contest at the Promenade
- Live music with DJ
- Rose Room performance in the back lot
- Food and Beer
- Free street parking if you come early
- Valet Parking is available.We will meet at Thai Lotus Kitchen for dinner around 6pm. Then after dinner, we will go to the dance floor and enjoy the night.

Let’s get together to explore and experience the beauty of Japanese Gardens at Forth Worth Botanic Gardens. I have been here before and it’s place you must visit in the Fall. Parking is free if you purchase your ticket online or at the door. You can purchase food to feed the Koi Fish for $5. There will be music and Japanese food. You’re welcome to bring your family and friends. We will meet at the entrance at 8:30am. Feel free to contact me directly if you get lost.
