The greater Washington DC area's oldest and largest java user group, established in the mid 90's golden era of Java and going strong to this day! We focus on anything of interest to Java developers, and lately we are not just Java!
In addition to running the DCJUG, we host the annual DevIgnition conference focusing on the interests of the DC area's software developer community, including Systems Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Native, Cloud Computing, Data Analysis, Data Collection, Data Discovery, Data Workflow, Data Management, Data Science, Data Visualization, DevOps, Application Frameworks, Generative AI, Human Skills, Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Methodologies and Best Practices, Process Management, Open Source Software, Programming Languages, Search, Security, Software Testing and Quality Assurance, Tools, Trends and Techniques, UI/UX and Design and many Other Technologies.

The DevIgnition conference is a fun and informal annual community event run for and by the DC software development community, especially the DCJUG. We feature a full day of interesting presentations from excellent speakers on a wide variety of technical topics.
