What we’re about

Are you looking to meet new people, expand your social circle and discover new places and interests? If so, we're the group for you! We are a friendly bunch and you are assured of a warm welcome. If you join us (and we hope you do) please ensure your profile picture is of you and not something else. We would like to be able to recognise you when you attend your first event.   \

Our activities will be primarily in Denbighshire, Flintshire and surrounding areas and will include dining out, walking, cinema and theatre, art and culture and many more. We welcome suggestions from all members to add to our events calendar. \

A small membership fee of £5 is payable when you join and is renewed annually on 1 July. This is to cover the Meetup site charges and any incidental expenses.

Terms and Conditions
1. Any person, 18 years or older, any gender and any background are welcome to join and participate in group activities.
2. There is an annual fee of £5 payable within a week of joining and is renewable annually on 1st July. Please pay via PayPal to denbighshiremeetup@gmail.com. Please ensure you mark your payment as Friends and Family otherwise we will be charged a fee. The payment will show as being paid to Kim Elliott on PayPal (Kim is one of our Co-organisers). If a member joins part way through the year the full amount of £5 will be payable, within reason. Please ensure that your profile picture is a photograph of you and not something else. We would like to be able to recognise you   \

  1. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards members who misbehave or abuse others in any form, whether physically or verbally and they will be removed from the group immediately. \
  2. We consider safety to be our number one priority and while we never take unnecessary risks, we do recognise that activities may result in personal injury. Remember that you should be aware of and accept these risks as you are solely responsible for your own safety and you should not undertake anything beyond your abilities. It is also your responsibility to be correctly equipped for the weather and activity you have chosen to participate in. \
  3. Some activities such as restaurant bookings require deposits to be paid. If any member has paid a deposit and either fails to partake or cancels less than one week prior to the date of the event their deposit will not be returned.\
  4. If a member responds as coming to an event and then finds that they are unable to attend their response must be changed to not coming. It is very frustrating for organisers to be waiting around for someone who does not arrive. Not adhering to this rule may result in expulsion from the group.
  5. Plus-ones are for people who are visiting you from out of the area or for a friend who would like to accompany a member for their first event. In the latter case, if that friend would like to attend future events, he/she will need to join the group and pay a membership fee.
