This group is for you! Dengrove Studios offers a wide range of photography classes and workshops throughout the year.
Topics range from introductory courses to advanced studio lighting. There's something for everyone no matter what your skill level. We are always looking to add new courses to our offerings.

Natural light shooter who wants to start using flash? Not sure where to start? Perhaps your on-camera flash skills are legendary...ready to move the flash off camera, but don't know how?
Adding flash lighting, opens up a new world of creative possibilities. Using flash, off camera, pushes your creativity even further. Use it to add dynamic lighting, that mimics natural light, exactly where you want it, from a flash that fits in the palm of your hand.
During the morning portion of the workshop, on-camera flash and speedlight photography skills will be taught with a mix of lecture, demonstrations, and plenty of hands-on exercises.
For the afternoon portion of the workshop we'll get those speedlights off the camera and really start getting creative with our lighting. Then an opportunity for one on one time with a professional model to practice all those new flash skills you just learned!

Do you love the idea of taking amazing landscape photos, but can't find those jaw-dropping locations? Perhaps you've played around with photographing landscapes but they just fall flat of the image you've conjured up in your mind?
During this special workshop, you will learn not only to take gorgeous landscape photographs but also some history about the park and the amazing Tarrytown Lighthouse. And as an added bonus it's just been painted and looks amazing!!
Topics include exposure controls, white balance, depth of field settings for landscapes, composition and perspective techniques, metering for sunsets, and blue hour photography.
