6:30 PM - Lightning TalksTalk Descriptions
"How I vibe coded a small project" by Will Klein - Wondering how to get started with using AI? Is vibe coding worth doing? I'll share how I've been leaning into AI and how I deal with the overwhelming noise around it."The bare bones of Babel plugins" by Dan Cortes - Let's speed run transforming source code at compile time by looking at how Babel plugins are written.
"Scratching an itch" by Michael Bocim - What started as a small project idea to quickly edit my resume information took root in my mind as something that could be far more. It's not always easy to express what you've done, let alone when you haven't done it in awhile or don't have the language to speak about it confidently. I want to talk about where I started, where I am, and how I'm building the tool I wish I'd had at the start.
Speaker Bios
Will Klein - Will is a specialist in developer experience, building tools, and sharing how they work. He draws from 18 years of practice, working in design systems, full-stack development, and most importantly, making mistakes and learning from them. | https://www.willklein.coDan Cortes - Dan's a software developer with 10+ years of experience. He likes talking about the web, usability, and design. He's easily nerd sniped, use that knowledge responsibly. | https://dancortes.dev/
Michael Bocim - When I'm not at the computer, you can find me folding origami, binging Survivor, playing clarinet and tenor sax with local jazz groups, or hiking with my camera in search of the perfect shot. | https://www.res-you-me.com/
