Welcome! Liz & Michael (organizers) are happily childfree and met 12 years ago here in Dallas at a travel meetup. As our group of friends ventured into parenthood, we found ourselves yearning for friends whose life paths were similar to our own. Michael is an electrical engineer in Dallas and is originally from Germany. Needless to say, he LOVES the Dallas craft brew scene. Liz is a former educator, now Digital Community Strategist. Yep, she builds communities professionally and works in PR for a national nonprofit. ;-)
Together, we have two dogs: Sienna and Bernie. Sienna is a 7-year-old German Shepherd and Bernie is a 2-year-old Golden Retriever.
We embarked on one of the biggest adventures of our lives last October when we bought a Sprinter van and decided to convert it from the ground up into a campervan. It has been an exciting and rewarding project. We very much have the attitude that we work to live, not live to work.
We are looking for like-minded people to explore hidden gems in the city, and revisit familiar places with. Bonus points if you love to travel!
We hope the members of this group will find new friendships, a place of belonging, where all members are valued for who they are.
