What weβre about
Dog hikes in and around the Boston/ New Hampshire area. πΆ I've discovered, and am aware of, some beautiful state park hikes for 1β2-hour walks (approx. 3 miles).
I'm a professional who loves to hike with my labrador at weekends, and it's more fun to do that with other like-minded folk! This is a sociable group, aimed at folk looking to make new friends, as well as hike with their dog.
** IMPORTANT! **
- OWNING A DOG IS A PREREQUISITE for becoming a member
- FRIENDLY/ SOCIALIZED DOGS ONLY or this will involve a polite/ awkward conversation where you and your doggo will need to walk away. Brutal I know, but it's unpleasant watching reactive dogs being threatening or attacking.
- Needing to limit it to 6 humans and 6 doggos (max), otherwise it doesn't work......a much longer explanation at base, learnt from trial and error.
- Dogs of all sizes welcome.
- You will be 100% liable for your dog
- I am not a hiking or map expert! But I do use Trail finder GPS to keep us on track.
- If you're uncomfortable at any point please be prepared for walking back by yourself.
- Offensive or anti-social behaviour (dog or human!) will not be tolerated.
COME PREPARED!!!
β Water
β GPS mobile/device - in case you decide to leave early, please don't expect someone to escort you π
β Bug spray
β Sun block
β Leash & poop bags!
Looking forward to meeting you!
Verity
The 6-dog max rule is because we are walking with other hikers and any more can be intimating to fellow walkers or other dogs we come across. We have additional space for you to bring 1-2 human guests per walk (first come, first serve - so please message me). Unfortunately we have to be strict on membership, where only someone who has a dog can join this group (or it turns into a walking group for couples, which is not my idea of fun- there are lots of non-dog hiking groups), so I've got to protect that rule.
****Please message me if you want to bring a guest and hope we can accommodate!******
Warmest thanks, Verity
