Alegria Performing Arts Academy is our Downtown Dance Studio, right here on beautiful and historic Main Street!
Our studio offers dance, music, and performing arts instruction for all ages and levels of experience. We offer group classes and private lessons, and are the 209's leading wedding dance specialists! We have a wonderful, diverse offering of styles. We offer Ballroom, Country, Latin, Salsa, Bachata, Swing, Line Dance, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Break Dance, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Cheer, Tumbling, Baile Folklórico, Portuguese Dances, Assyrian Dances, Bhangra, Burlesque, Belly Dance, Heels, Musical Theatre, Voice & More.
We strive to bring joy and light to our students and our community through the love of dance, music, and the performing arts. Our students are talented because they work hard to hone their skills and have fun at the same time. Alegria means joy, and the JOY of performance shines through them.
We provide a safe space where we teach, encourage, include, and accept ALL. We allow dancers to be their authentic selves. They make our lives a little brighter each day with their beautiful souls. Stephanie has loved dancing and music since the age of five. She has performed extensively in ethnic dance, swing, and, of course, belly dancing. She studied Arabic tabla to further refine her interpretation of the rhythms and is thrilled to have performed in Egypt and Turkey. She is passionate about helping everyone find the confidence and appreciate the beauty that we all have within. Reserve your spot on Mindbody!Reservation Policy & Tuition Payments:
All students must pre-register for classes via our MindBody Online Scheduling System, by phone/text at 925.980.5683, or with our Google form to reserve your spot in a class. For new semester enrollments, a $25 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot in a class. Reservations must be made 2 hours or more before class. Drop-ins will be accommodated at the teacher’s discretion. All tuition payments must be paid in advance of services and are non-transferable and non-refundable. Monthly tuition plans require a card on file. If your card on file is declined, and your invoice remains unpaid after the 15th of the new month, you will accrue a late fee of $20.Hip Hop, Jazz, & General Dress Code:
Jazz shoes preferred. Flat-bottomed sneakers are ok. (Converse, Keds, Vans, Toms)
MUST WEAR SOCKS with sneakers. Shorts or pants that are athletic or workout style. Fitted or slightly loose tees, tanks, or leotards. Hair pulled up out of face.NOPES:
No dirty, torn, or baggy clothes. No pajamas. No hanging jewelry, stud earrings are ok.
No excessive cleavage, midriff**, or booty shorts, flip flops, sandals or Crocs.
Don’t wear your dance shoes outside!
