What we’re about
let's get drunk and try to build something. Or no alcohol, idk, up to you. The point is, relaxed time to build something, work on something. Talk about something. Explore, create, relax, have company.
Centered around Linux. Or data science. Or RF communications. Or how to run Minecraft at 4000fps.
My name is Peter Roe, I have a meetup account for coordinating another organizations events. I have 2 extra event slots for free haha.
I find myself these days, in my downtime, reverting to tinkering around with computers. I realized some of these sessions are very valuable. As I am sure they are for many of you. If you can relax into a project. Find the drive, the community. It can be so fun!
No ego, no stakes. The goal is to create an environment that fosters individual and collaborative growth. For people who like computers.
The goal is to create a rugged group of like minded people. That can lean on each other in a zero stakes environment. See, in professional circles there are rules and expectations. I personally do not want to rely on people from my company for technical skill development and theroy. It gets you into trouble! Plus it's not as fun.
So a local group, skilled individuals, who owe each other nothing. That could be powerful. Everyone could benefit.
