What we’re about
Established originally in 2017 with a brief COVID-induced hiatus, East Bay Seniors is back in action!
We're a group of friendly 60 "plus or minus" folks who love a variety of stuff, including games, coffee, restaurants, bowling, book clubs, crafts, concerts, and exploring anything the area has to offer.
Most of us join and attend alone, but you are also welcome to bring your friendly significant other, friend, or family member! This is all about making new connections, and getting yourself out there!
My name is Marcie, and I live in the East Bay so therefore center my hosted events around there, but we are happy to accommodate meetup members from further out if anyone wants to help me host. This is a no-judgment, all-fun zone to socialize, get together and enjoy what amazing things we live near!
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Swing Era Vintage Favorites Concert @ Stone Church CoffeehouseBristol's Stone Church Coffeehouse, Bristol, RI
Let's enjoy a nice concert together! Doors open at 6:45 pm, so we should get there by 6:15 for the show. I will make a reservation once I have a better idea of a headcount.
Tickets are $25 and you need to call Stone Church Coffeehouse to buy them since they sell out quickly. The number to call is (401) 253-4813.
You can BYOB, so if someone wants to bring a bottle of wine and cups, etc. Feel free! I'll come with a snack to share. Bring a thermos of coffee, water, whatever you like, or whatever you might want to share with our table. They have a small snack bar for cash as well.----------------------
Read more about the Vintage Vocal Quartet here!
The Vintage Vocal Quartet is coming to fill your ears and your heart with the sweet swinging harmonies of the Swing Era, when jazz music and pop music were one and the same. It was a time when every radio blared out music that was danceable yet sophisticated.
The Vintage Vocal Quartet sings while playing piano, guitar, bass and trombone/drums. They are dialed in to the sound of groups like Glenn Miller’s Modernaires, the Nat King Cole Trio, the Andrews Sisters, and Tommy Dorsey’s Pied Pipers; as well as singers like Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, and Ella Fitzgerald. The Vintage Vocal Quartet has been delighting concert audiences and lindy hoppers all over New England. These four performers provide their own accompaniment on piano, bass, guitar and trombone/drums to complement their powerful harmony vocals.
