What weβre about
This is a group for anyone interested in talking about how we interact with our built environment - with a specific focus on Seattle's Eastside cities and suburbs. If you live, work, or play on the Eastside (or even if you don't), and are interested in talking about things like infrastructure, transportation, transit, Vision Zero, housing, zoning, urban planning, sustainability, equity, accessibility, affordability, cities or places in general, you are welcome in this space! We are most active on Discord, and we have in-person meetups every Thursday!

Every Thursday, we are at Jack Sprat in Esterra Park hanging out and talking about our built environment. Grab some food or a drink! Meet neighbors and hear about what's going on locally! All are welcome!
Is there a particular way that your city is failing you? Want to figure out how you can do something about it? Did you move here from somewhere that is quite different? Are you unable to find housing that meets your needs where you want to live? Is your commute miserable? Do you bike, take transit, or wish you could? What is working here and what isn't? Let's talk about it!Find us at Jack Sprat! Look for orange t-shirts, our logo tablecloth, bike helmets, or the big group of people excitedly talking about zoning rules and bus routes. Arriving late or leaving early is just fine - the cafe now closes at 8pm, the last trains run around 9:30pm, and we'll be there until we're done :)
Event RSVPs on this website do not paint an accurate picture - we usually are a group of 10-25 people each week. This group is mostly active on our Discord server - please join if you'd like to connect!

Join us! We love meeting new people! - Bellevue Parking Day"The Love Between" Decorative Crosswalk, Bellevue, WA
As an annual event, Park(ing) Day brings community members, organizations, and businesses together to temporarily repurpose on-street parking spaces to be used for games, art, community-building, and other installations that are available to everyone. As an organization that recognizes the place-making potential of our streets, Complete Streets Bellevue is honored to host Bellevueβs first-ever Park(ing) Day on Friday, September 19th!
Join us from 12 pm to 5 pm at the corner of NE 1st St & 102nd Ave NE (just south of Downtown Park) to experience cool, temporary installations created by members of our community that help us re-imagine what our streets can be. You can expect cultural displays, comfy seating, games, activities, and more β but only for a limited time! The event is entirely free for both participants and members of the public.
Are you a community organization, business, or individual that has a great idea for an installation? Or do you just want to stop by and join in the fun on September 19th? Either way, read our one-pager or check out the CSB announcement for more info!
