Meet at Saylor Park in Coplay at the parking lot in front of the cement kilns for a walk on the Ironton Rail Trail loop. This will be a three mile per hour moderate to somewhat fast walk on a paved, mostly level trail. Depending on the group's interest, we may add a bit of the spur trail to the hike too.

Beautiful trail. Flat, easy to navigate. Moderate/quick 3-ish mile per hour pace to Jim Thorpe with short break in JT town square before returning to starting point in Weissport (Eight mile round-trip).

Meet at the Lehigh Canal Park parking lot.

We will be starting our 7-ish mile hike using the central and southern parts of the Border Loop trail (many elevation changes, some steep). Next, our route will cover easier trails through the central part of the park, using mostly level routes. We will finish our trek using the northern and central sections of the Border Loop, which again, have multiple elevation changes. About a three mile per hour (moderate/fast) pace.

Beautiful views.

This route eliminates the more challenging parts of the Border Loop and is a good choice for hikers who are not sure they are ready for the full 9.5 mile loop.

Directions: Take 309N toward Schnecksville. Go about 5 miles and turn left onto Old Packhouse Rd. Go about 1 mile and turn right onto Orchard Rd. Parking lot on left.
