It is our level of consciousness that, first of all, determines our own progress and the progress of society. If humanity had not conceived of “civilization”, one might ask, would it have been possible for us to translate this vision into reality? Probably not! This reality seems to apply, also, to existing concepts such as health, education, and wealth; unless and until we can rethink these concepts – at increasingly higher levels of understanding – it will be impossible, individually and collectively, for humanity to move forward.
Today let’s take one foundational concept, the oneness of humanity, which so many accept as true (if only at the most superficial of levels) … and dive deeper into its meaning and implications. In this adventure, we will be guided by the teachings of the Baha’i Faith, the most recent of the world’s independent religions, which seeks to unite the whole of humanity within one global civilization that, generation by generation, will come to live in material and spiritual prosperity. All voices, and each person – of every nationality, gender, class, religion, race, ethnicity, age, and culture – are welcome in this space…
