Emotions are the core of having a physical experience on earth.

Growing up we didn't have classes for dealing with different types of emotions.
There are two types of emotions: Pleasant and Unpleasant emotions. In life we are taught to stay away from unpleasant emotions and we name it as negative emotions, and pursue the pleasant emotions which we label as positive emotions.

This habit of running away or suppressing the unpleasant emotions creates an imbalance in the physical body and also can lead to dis-ease in the body.

Intention of this meet-up is to

  1. Become familiar with the emotions, each session we will pick one emotion
  2. What kind of situations in your life brings that emotion up
  3. Where in your body do you feel that emotion
  4. Bringing safety to feel that emotion so that emotion completes its expression bringing calm and peace in the body

A healthy nervous system can easily oscillate between pleasant and unpleasant emotions and have the capacity to navigate both emotions equally and not get stuck in one kind of experience. So with this structured practice we are trying to increase our capacity to navigate the emotions and have a healthy emotional experience in day to day life.
