Land Restoration Project - Gran Canaria - Regreening our Island!

If you have an interest in the environment and you want to learn more about the environmental state of our island then this might be a group for you!

We work to create knowledge/awareness about the current state of the enviroment here on the canary islands. We experiment and learn how to sustainably regrow desertificated and abandoned farmland!

We create new biomass on areas that are now just desert farmland and turn it back into reusable for planting and regrowing as many desert farming plants as possible. We keep a close eye on what plants that will naturally grow in a given area.

The first nature Restoration pilot project has now been mostly cleaned up and an emerging new area of Almonds, Fig trees, wild Olive trees, Nopales fruit cactus, Agave plants and Dragon trees are in place. We will now keep following and learning how to best sustainably and simply grow more by observing how natur handles it!
