We are so glad to confirm our next gathering, with a motto, too:
Schrottwichteln!
Somewhat similar to "Secret Santa", this variant of the game we will play like this:
Each participant shows up with a wrapped gift, a die is rolled. A six? You can open the parcel you are holding. A one? You can swap with anyone. Any other number, you pass the parcel to the person next to you, clockwise.
It's for fun! Ideally, it is an item you wish to rid of, but not broken please. To keep it fair, one that is worth not more than €10. So expect the item you get passed to yourself to be of low value, just so that you know in case you are planning to get rid of something more valuable. No strings attached, you don't have to play, you do of course have to bring your parcel if you wish to play...and then it will change owner: it is a gift. You don't know what you will receive...it is a surprise and it all yours.
DRINKS and FOOD!
The participation fee to the event is €10 and includes 2 Finger food snacks per person. Please be fair and offer to pay your fee, walk up to the organizers when you show up and let yourself be greeted and treated. The organizers are vouching for you with the Sheraton: the Snacks have to be ordered in advance. Thank you! We have limited the number of participants, so reserve your spot. You can order more food and drinks from the bar and are kindly pay it directly there please.

This is a great opportunity for us to socialize and have a drink together.
As usual, there are goodies for the "Marriott Bonvoy" members. The membership enables to get access to Sheraton's discounts at a member price whenever you visit (this is not a one-time discount but is valid as long as you are a member), including this event. Don't despair if you have not registered yet, as soon as you sign up, you can access the benefits by showing your membership number on the app. Currently, "Marriott Bonvoy" members get a discount on food, check their menu, the discounts are reported there. Ask for the "Drink of the Month", Bonvoy Drink is currently € 5,00 and the drink itself changes every month.

You don't have to, but we would like to encourage you to wear your name, we will provide tape and pen to wear your name, it is time together after all. This is OUR event at the Sheraton, for our group.

The Sheraton is just next to the Philarmonie in Essen, in walking distance from the underground station Essen Philarmonie.
