Fabulous Divas' Book Club

Welcome to the Fabulous Divas Book Club! If you enjoy thought-provoking discussions, love and appreciate the diversity of life and cultures, and you enjoy meeting new people, then this is the group for you. We hope is to create a platform that promotes and supports literature by all writers, with a focus on celebrated Black authors, such as Toni Morrison, Richard Wright, Edwidge Danticat, Nora Neale Hurston, Eric Jerome Dickey. We read fiction and non-fiction books, classic works of the past/present and will help each other identify talented new writers of the future. Members are required to host a book review and social event at least 1 time in a calendar year. Book discussions will take place mostly on the 3rd Saturday of each Month (This is NOT A VIRTUAL BOOK CLUB although some discussions may occur virtually). We are LOCATED IN SAN FERNANDO VALLEY. Venues for events are up to the host (in our homes, restaurants, cafes, coffee shops ,outdoors or a special venue). Come laugh, share stories and make new friends! All backgrounds, personalities and nationalities are welcome.
