The next stop on the World Food Tour is Tabachoy. It is a 28-seat restaurant on 10th Street, in a building painted a deep and striking navy. A menu full of family recipes and Filipino comfort food, revised through his own South Philly lens. Tabachoy (a nickname, Tagalog for “chubby”) is his big swing. I am so excited to return to this restaurant. Take a look at the menu.
This restaurant is BYOB so you are encouraged to bring a bottle of wine to share. All parties of 6 or more are required to take part in the Chef's Tasting Menu for $50/pp and are subject to an automatic gratuity of 20%. With tax and tip, it should be $65pp. Bring cash $$$. The bill will be split evenly. Let me know if you have any dietary restrictions.
I will confirm that you will be attending a day or two before the event so that I can adjust the reservation if needed. If you can't attend, kindly change your RSVP to not going so that someone on the wait list can go or I can correct the reservation at least 24 hours prior.
Parking: The Italian Market parking lot at 926 Carpenter St is a 2-minute walk. There is another at 920 Washington Ave Parking which is a 5-minute walk.
