See all- World Food Tour: Silk Way (Kazakh)Silk Way, Philadelphia, PA
The next stop on the World Food Tour is Silk Way, a brand new family-owned Kazakh restaurant, which offers a menu of dishes from Central Asia, including Uzbek, Uyghur, and Kazakh specialties. This is the first Kazakh restaurant in the city and was suggested by Gary one of our members. Some dishes include Lagman, Beshparmak, Goulash, Lyulya kebab, Plov, Manti, Chicken tabaka, Liz-Biz, and Family size mixed kebabs.
This restaurant is BYOB so you are encouraged to bring a bottle of wine to share. We will order appetizers that we will pass around the table and everyone will select their entree. The bill will be divided equally including tax and 20% tip. This is a brand new restaurant and the menu with prices is not yet available, but it should not be expensive. Based on other places that we have dined like it, I expect the total cost with tax and tip to be between $25-35. Please bring cash $$$. Let me know of any allergies so that I can pass it along to the restaurant.
I will confirm that you will be attending a day or two before the event. If you can't attend, kindly change your RSVP to not going so that someone on the waitlist can go or so that I can update the reservation with the restaurant.
Parking is limited so carpooling and public transportation are encouraged. The restaurant is located at 6th and Lombard. There is some street parking and the nearest lots are:
