This is an organized group of players who are on an approved roster and paid to play. Your decision to play is voluntary. Players play at their own risk. Host and Organizers are not responsible for any injury or hospitalization that occurs before, during or after the meet-up.
Hosts will pull from the waitlist. Paid players have first dibs. Please Read: This meetup is for those who know the rules of indoor volleyball and are BB+ level's only. If you have questions, please message the host. Several players have pre-paid for “the season”. If you have not pre-paid and you are moved from waitlist to “going” the fee Is $7.
B (Beginner)
Players at this level have at least a couple years of recreational experience. They may or may not have played in organized teams. Players will be expected to have the basic fundamental skills in place and be able to demonstrate them with some degree of consistency.
- Passing is directed to a setter but not always accurately
- Handsets and bump sets are in the general direction of the hitter but not clean.
- Player can make contact with their hits but are not powerful or precise
- Players will rotate and play all positions and often the middle person will be the setter.
- blockers and hitters understand the basic mechanics for approaches but their execution may be improperly timed
BB (Intermediate)
Players at this level have at multiple years of experience. They have played in organized teams/leagues/tournaments. Players are expected to understand volleyball terminology, and be able to demonstrate them with consistency.
- Passing is directed to a setter
- Handsets are “cleaner” and rarely called a “double”
- Bump sets will be to the intended hitter
- Hits are generally in with power and precision
- Players are use to being associated to a specific position, (libero, setter, outside hitter, middle blocker, right side hitter) and will prefer to play one of those positions.
- Blockers and hitters understand the basic mechanics for approaches but their execution may be improperly timed
A (Advanced)
Players at this level have multiple years of experience on organized teams.
- Passing is directed to a setter, typically “pass right”
- Setter has the ability in performing different type of offensive sets, such as a 1 ball, 2 ball, 5 ball, pipe, shoot, slide, exc.
- Sets are expected to be clean and never doubled
- Hitter has the ability to read the defense and place the ball on the court
