Family Hiking For Parents With Toddlers and Young Children

Let’s get together for a hike around Lake Chabot. We’ll be walking along the paved trails and will probably do a couple miles out and back along a mostly shaded path. For those that want to hang around for a little while on the tail end and let the kids play, we can relocate to one of the open fields in the park. We’ll probably bring some balls and other outdoor toys for the toddlers and suggest doing the same, as well as bringing some snacks. If this is your first hike with a young child, we suggest bringing some diapers if they’re not potty trained yet. There are a number of outhouses along the trail that are usually fairly clean but having some wipes is a good idea. No event fee at this point, but after a number of hikes, if you enjoy joining us, we would appreciate any help towards recouping the organizer fees on Meetup.
