Come practice and polish your pitch!
Welcome to the group to helps you unlock your innate emotional and social skills, build empathy with your audience and listeners, and helps you practice and polish the skills necessary to express your ideas with inspiration and persuasion!
Our new location is a community theater! There is a certain kind of camaraderie that exists with those who share the stage! Maybe it is the result of the many hours spent together in rehearsals, or the joy we experience together when we finally perform before a live audience.
Whatever the magic is that builds lasting friendships, the shared love of theater is perhaps the quintessence of why so many performers give of their time and talents, without monetary compensation, to bring a musical or stage play to life. The moments, the memories, and the meaningful relationships really do transcend the months of work and commitment invested in the production.
We are here to help bring the same camaraderie that exists in theater to the business world. Not because we think we can replicate or duplicate what happens in a theater setting, but what we believe can help in presentation settings, whether it be a startup pitch, a boardroom presentation, or even a keynote speech.
So much emphasis is placed on the final product, that many might miss the power of the polishing and practicing process. Unless you have performed in community theater, for example, you might never come to understand the effort that goes into the hours of rehearsals that build up to the on stage performances. This is in addition to the many hours each performer spends at home memorizing lines, practicing musical solos and mastering dance steps.
But as everyone knows, it isn't enough to practice at home alone in front of a mirror. Having an audience, even if at first that audience is simply made up of fellow cast members, having an audience provides the kind of atmosphere and feedback that could never happen practicing alone.
The added benefit of practicing in front of others is the encouragement and support that comes from the camaraderie of the cast. The fellowship of fellow cast members is both brilliant and priceless! They understand the demands and the process of a collaborative effort..
Mastering skill sets is the main reason for our efforts, but organizing a way to capture the same camaraderie found in theater would be the greater accomplishment.
Come to a place where presentations can be crafted, rehearsed, and perfected. Come polish your pitch, practice your speech, and find fellowship and feedback.
It's a rehearsal hall, a speakers lounge, or a jam session studio, where the stage is set and an audience is there to share: helping you elevate your message.
A practice place for anyone who speaks, presents, coaches or trains.
We have pivoted to include a more tech savvy approach to making presentations.
1. Your message is STILL the mission, but. . .
2. . . a good pitch requires good props.
3. And, part of the pitch includes not just playing to your audience, but mobilizing and motivating them to attend your pitch and fund your cause or start-up.
Presenting is more than speaking, it is about combining the right tools and elements that make your message go viral.
You will build pitch decks using vectors, motion graphics, and animation.
You will learn how to Podcast and run Tik Tok campaigns, refine Ted style talks.
You will learn how to use video in your pitches and presentations.
Presenting is more than speaking, it is about combining the right tools and elements that make your message go viral.
Starting Monday, January 24th, we will be utilizing the practice space available at On Pitch Performing Arts to relaunch our Meetup. In conjunction with this new start we are renaming our meetup FastPitch!
