What we’re about
Each month we read a book, alternating between fiction and nonfiction. At a local meetup, we discuss our thoughts and share insights. A poll is posted after each meeting, for members to vote for the next book title we'll read. Titles range from classic feminist texts to the latest releases, with themes of challenging norms and celebrating voices of women and marginalized communities.
We believe true feminism is intersectional and support Trans rights, BLM, and the LGBTQIA+ community. All are welcome! We typically meet the last Thursday of the month (hockey games and holidays sometimes get in the way) at a local brewery or winery -- someplace with alot of seating that doesn't mind us hanging out for a couple hours. We skip the month of December.
This is a free group, but if you can help offset the MeetUp hosting fee that I am required to pay, please use the fundraising pledge form to donate. I appreciate it!
Please update your RSVPs before the event begins. Things happen, we understand! All I ask is you change your RSVP to a "No" -- it makes it difficult for us to arrange seating without an accurate attendee number. If you are a no show more than twice, you'll be removed from the group :( nobody wants that!
