Welcome to Cambridge Creative Corner! Ranging from term time evening courses to workshops and one day experiences, Cambridge Creative Corner offers fun creative courses with a warm and friendly atmosphere. A great group to learn fun skills, meet new people and create wonderful pieces of art and craft you can take home and cherish.

Ely Friends is for anyone who’s ever spent a night in on their own wishing they were out doing something more exciting, or for those who’ve sat in the pub looking at the group of friends, wishing they could join them.

We bring together people from the local area to make friends and have fun. We’ve regular events, including pub quizzes, board game nights, pub nights, breakfasts and trips to Boogie Nights in St Ives. In between there are cinema trips, meals out, book talks and walks.

We’re welcoming and friendly, and open to all ages. Male or female, single or married. If this sounds at all tempting please sign up - it’s free.

We simply expect:
1. A recent, clear photo (so event hosts can spot and welcome you)
2. Up to date RSVP’s (waiting for no-shows ruins an event for everyone else)
3. Understanding that hosts are volunteers (trust their experience, don't argue self motivated changes)
4. You pay your own way (we don’t charge for events, but don't leave unpaid drink/food tabs)
5. You make your own way (fine to ask members for lifts, but don't expect or demand)
6. No private messaging before you've met at an event (we’re not a dating site!)

- Suggesting events on our discussion boards to determine interest (it can't clash with an existing event or financially benefit yourself - charities are fine)

- Becoming an event organiser (once you've hosted several events)

As I do not have the time to run a walk every weekend at the moment, I am leaving other walk leaders to list events of their choice on the Peterborough Walking Meetup Group. And some regulars have already formed various groupings of their own, due to the restrictions placed on us at this point in time.

In the meantime I will be running occasional walks on this group. As we need to abide by current guidelines, these will only involve small numbers. For that reason I will only be granting membership to people who I already know. And in particular, those who don't have others they can walk with at this time.

Welcome to Peterborough Friends. We have been getting people off their sofas and out of the house since 2015. Firstly, we are not a singles, dating website, we are a social group.  We welcome friends from anywhere of any age, whether you are single, in a relationship or married. We eat out, drink, laugh, walk, dance, party, go to the theatre and even go on holidays. The group has events to suit anyone of any age. If you are fed up of staying in, wasting your time on dating websites and social media or just lonely then please give the group a try.  Scroll through our calendar and see the many varied events planned for this year. If you are interested in an event then please sign up to it so that myself and the other members can look out for you. Can I please ask that you bring cash when attending meals out as it makes it easier to pay the bill and means that the waitress does not have several small card payments for one booking. All meals will require a £5 deposit. This is to secure your place. If you cannot attend for a genuine reason I will transfer the deposit to another event, however if you cancel on the day of the event this will not be refunded. In the event of a meal being cancelled the deposits will be refunded. If I have asked for your deposit and you have not sent it I will move your name on to the waiting list until it has been received. If you RSVP for a theatre trip please send the full payment to me straight away as I have to book tickets for these events promptly so that we can all sit together. Lifts and travel can be shared so please don't be afraid to ask. Just post a comment on the event to see if anyone can help. Please do not contact people directly for lifts unless you have made friends with them. If you are free during the day we meet on Mondays at 11am and Thursdays at 2pm at Central Park. We meet outside the Willow Cafe in the centre of the park. If the weather is bad we still meet for coffee. These are gentle walks but if you would rather just come for a chat and a coffee please arrive at 11.30 and I will meet you in the cafe. If you prefer a longer walk then please sign up for Mark's alternate Sunday and Wednesday evening walks. MEMBERSHIP You will need an up to date photo of yourself to join this group. This is so I can recognise you at events. You will be removed from the group if you refuse to do this. It is helpful if you add a surname as we are a large group and this will make it easier for me. We are a board gaming group in Bedford. We offer a chance to meet new people who share an enjoyment of board games. We're about having a bit of fun and spending an enjoyable and sociable time doing what we like best; which is ...obviously... gaming.

Come and enjoy your first meet-up with us for free. After that, we charge £2 on Wednesday nights and £1 on Friday night sessions. The money goes to covering our meetup fees, room hire and any spare goes towards games that can be won or used by members of the group. Tea and coffee is provided on Wednesdays and you can / should buy drinks at the bar on our Friday meets. <br>

If you're not a die-hard gamer, don't worry! We have plenty of games to start you off gently.... and are currently running some extra introductory sessions to lead you in gently. Our regular members tend to bring a good selection of games with them...but do try and sign up if you are coming so that we can cater for the right amount of people.

We never play Monopoly, Scrabble, Cluedo or Backgammon ;-) Chances are however that if you like those, you'll be blown away by the modern games that we adore. We don't have favourite games that get played every single week as we enjoy playing a wide variety of stuff...from quick 5 minute filler games to complex all-evening strategy games and everything in between. Worker placement, area control, deck building, hand management, take-that, tile placement, competitive or co-operative...we really do cater for most board game tastes. Don't worry if you don't know the rules. They will be run through at the start of the game. <br>

The Huntingdon Young Adult Social Club is a welcoming group for young adults in Huntingdon. It’s designed for those new to the area or anyone looking to expand their social circle. The group embraces people of all backgrounds and cultures, fostering a relaxed and inclusive environment. Members meet in local pubs around Huntingdon, offering a casual space to connect, make friends, and share experiences. Especially in the era of remote work, the club provides an opportunity to build a local support network, meet like-minded individuals, and broaden personal perspectives within the community.

This group is to bring a group of girls together that just want to have fun, socialise and get out and about! It can be hard when you are new to an area, or your long term friends just don’t have time that they used to. This is a good way to get to know new people and build new friendship groups. We would like to arrange lots of fun events whether it be brunches, nights out, walks or other activities and will always be open to suggestions. We will try and move the event locations around to keep it new and interesting and help with people that live in the surrounding areas. Looking forward to getting something booked in and to meet you all!

This is a Meetup for people from all walks of life to meet and make new friends whilst enjoying the fabulous local scenery and walking at a comfortable pace. The majority of the group are 45 plus but there are no limits or restrictions.  Our aim is to walk at approximately 2.5 to 3 miles an hour, enjoying a mix of walks, which will vary from the relatively easy to more challenging. For those who have not walked with a group before, it is important you feel confident with your mobility and fitness, as we are not able to assess people before we start. If you are in any doubt please contact your GP before joining the group. We reserve the right to exclude at any time if you are not of adequate fitness.  Dogs are not permitted on any of our walks.  Sensible walking boots or shoes should be worn and appropriate clothing for the weather expected on the day.  We aim to stop for breaks so it's always a good idea to have a snack with you and essential to carry enough water as hydration is extremely important.  Each walk will display the start location and time, distance and expected duration. Please arrive in adequate time put your boots on and prepare yourself for a walk of a number of hours and miles. It is respectful to other walkers to not keep them waiting to start the walk. During the walk, please do not walk ahead of the leader and as we do not have a fast pace on these walks, we do ask that walkers try to stay within reasonable distance of the walkers ahead of you, 10 to 20 feet at most. As a very friendly group we usually go to a local pub or tea shop for a chat and a chance to get to know everyone. It is essential that every new member has a facial photo (OF THEMSELVES ALONE) on their application profile to permit organisers and other members to recognise you on your first walks - your application WILL BE DECLINED if you can not be recognised from your photo. Please also be aware that while you may change your profile picture at anytime, it must still conform to the requirements as indicated, i.e. a clear recognisable facial photo. We accept no liability or responsibility for safety on these walks, each member joins on the understanding they are responsible for their own safety. We are not qualified leaders or walkers, or able to offer first aid support, and therefore can offer no assurances. Walking can carry risks, especially across open fields and uneven terrain, and each walk is undertaken with full acceptance of these conditions by each member.  A charge may be made to cover the costs of hosting the Meetup site and out of pocket expenses such as maps and petrol costs for reccies, but as this is a non profit group, any remaining funds will be used for the benefit of club members.
