Introduction - This is a group for members looking to meet people, socialize and generally have a good time. From bars, clubbing, dining to hiking we have all sorts of events and your ideas are welcome. Just join up and come along. Profile photo - All members are required to have a name and photo on their profile. Profile photo should be a clear photo of yourself without sunglasses or face coverings. We must be able to recognise you from your photo. Group policies - Kindness and respect are important so treat others how you wish to be treated.  Note - any members who are seen to be causing distress to other members are at the risk of being removed from the group. Any suspected fake or menace profiles will receive a kind request to update their profile. Failure to comply will result in the removal of the profile. Leadership - All events set up in Nottingham Friends are to be booked under the group name and not an individual. The group enables large gatherings, the group has a brand therefore the group deserves to be named and promoted. This helps to build confidence in venues across all bookings made by event organisers of the group.

A group with regular organised walks geographically designed to lead you around picturesque landscapes and monumental landmarks. Each walk is described in detail and often includes a map of the route, approximate miles and skill level. The leader offers historical knowledge about your guided route. Country and Urban walks, local and not so local, circular, linear. Coach trips are arranged too which are always a day to remember and add to the variety of the walking events. These coach trips offer you the choice to do the organised walk or you can go off and explore the location and join up with the walkers later. UK seaside resorts and cities are among the many favourites destinations. Please wear suitable clothing as the weather can be changeable. Walking boots, waterproof jacket are a must, layers are good as easier to be comfortable. Sunscreen, a change of socks perhaps, water bottle, snacks, a charged phone. By joining the group you are accepting full responsibility for your own health and safety. The group is a non profit organisation and each person is a part of a group of friends. Please don't attend walks if you do not feel fit and well. Each person is totally responsible for their own actions. If that policy doesn't suit then don't join. Each person joins events at their own risk. There are no qualified staff or First Aiders. The group is merely a group of friends who share a common interest in walking and the great outdoors. You must accept that the group, event organisers and hosts are not liable for your safety and wellbeing. Each person attending the events are equal and take responsibility for themselves. If that policy doesn't suit then don't join. Each member is expected to treat the fellow members with respect and kindness and any distress caused to other members could lead to immediate removal from the group. The group is free to join, there is no expectation to pay anything. Members are welcome to contribute voluntarily a couple of pounds a year which will go towards the running costs of the group. This would be greatly appreciated as meetup isn't free. Any surplus funds will be donated to a Wildlife charity of your choice and spent on savoury treats on occasions for you to enjoy. The group is born out of an unforgettable experience at the Porcupine Tree concert earlier this year. That event ignited my love for live music, and I am planning to attend upcoming rock music concerts in Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds etc. The lineup is looking amazing next year with bands like Pendulum, Fall Out Boy, The Maine, Simple Plan etc. This group is an open invitation to anyone who shares a passion for music and interested in exploring the concert scene in 2024. Goal is also to connect people who share a genuine love for attending concerts, fostering a space for camaraderie, shared experiences, and the pure joy of live music. We attend concerts together, chat about upcoming shows, share playlists and create unforgettable memories. // This is my very first attempt to create a group on this platform. Welcome to the Childfree Friends in Sheffield meetup! This group is for people aged 30-49 who want to celebrate life without the responsibilities of children and acknowledge all the other things our lives consist of. We gather to enjoy conversations over food, explore the arts and entertainment scene, and soaking in different cultural experiences. Connect with fellow members who enjoy coffee catch ups during the week, staying out late and lazy Sundays because we can. This group is for people who chose not to be parents and don't have to orient their lives around children or young people. We are treated differently by society, our choices often questioned and patronised: "Why?? You'll change your mind someday" "won't you regret not having kids?" "who will take care of you when you're old" etc etc. If you have kids or your partner has kids, or your kids are now adults, you're not going to experience those things so this group won't be right for you. Thanks for understanding. If you are 80% sure you don't want kids but may be you will someday, again, this group is not for you. We have regular meet-ups for childfree people of colour.
