This is a relaxed meet up group for people who’d like to meet up, socialise and take part in chilled activities during the day on weekdays. Activities will be anything from a tea, or a coffee at a beachside cafe, to live music at lunchtime. There’ll also be short walks in nature, photography, art and drawing. It’s mainly an opportunity to meet new people during the week and enjoy the outdoors.

Since then it's grown and together we aim to provide a wide range of events for everyone to enjoy.🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ We tend to keep the events to a limited number of people, with the exception of a few such as walks, to allow good conversation and so it's not quite so daunting. There might be the odd exception to this but generally we have found from member feedback people prefer smaller groups.🙂 **WHAT WE DO** Some of the things we do are walks around our beautiful local area, National Trust houses and gardens, meals just about everywhere and at all times of the day too!. Coffee mornings, cinema and theatre trips, days out to places of interest, historic tours, live music. visiting fares and exhibitions, organised boat trips. escape rooms, outdoor pursuits, spa days, bowling, themed weekends, kayakjng etc. Ideas are most welcome and appreciated. We always listen to our members and do our very best to include your suggestions. We like trying out new things and visiting new places.🌳⛵ Members expect to be treated with respect and kindness. Inconsiderate behaviour, racism, sexism, ageism, extremist views ,unkind behaviour or gossiping will not be tolerated.😊 This group is not a dating site! We understand that a romantic interest may evolve between members which is absolutely great but the purpose of the group is for friendship and companionship. All walks are subject to weather conditions and may be cancelled by the host. This is for your safety.⚕️ First time? Don't worry, we know what it's like coming along for the first time, feeling a little anxious but you will always receive a warm welcome. The host will always meet you beforehand so you don't need to walk in anywhere on your own.🙂👍 **DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS** These are required to be paid at the same time as putting your name down (as long as you're on the 'going list, not needed if on the 'waiting list') Needed to secure your place as venues often require a deposit and tickets for shows and activities are purchased on your behalf, therefore if you put your name down please pay into the account stated on the event page, thank you. This helps the smooth running of the group and the sanity of the organisers! Some meals need a pre order too. This will always be stated in the event description.👍 **HOW TO JOIN** This is an adult only social group. You are eligible to join if you are 21 years old or over. Members are respectively reminded that children are unable to accompany members to events. Welcome to Beer & Board Games Paignton. A new adult board game group in Paignton. This is a group for beginners only to introduce them to modern board games. Certainly everyone has played Monopoly, Chess, Scrabble, Cluedo, but there are literally thousands of newer games that are amazing! We meet at the Kirkham Social Club - in our own private function room - every Wednesday evening. 6.30pm - 10pm Games are brought along by the organiser who will happily explain the rules and teach the games. Everyone will be new and in the same proverbial boat. Pop down and give it a go! Break up the working week by meeting new people, have fun, good conversation and lots of laughs. This group is for anyone wanting to learn guitar in a supportive environment, make new friends, watch live music, draw, sketch, socialise, go for food and go for short walks in nature. The guitar tuition is £10. The walks are free and won't be too strenuous and will last about an hour. You’ll surprise yourself with what you will learn from your first guitar lesson. This is a group for those in their 20's & 30's based in Newton Abbot and the surrounding area (Bovey Tracey, Teignmouth, Dawlish, Ashburton, Buckfastleigh etc.) to meet new people, enjoy fun activities and experience more of what their area has to offer. Newton Abbot 20's and 30's hosted their first event in 2018 and has since put on events ranging from pub quizzes and walks to drinks events - and even goat yoga... The COVID pandemic saw things slow down for a couple of years, but the group is now looking forward once more, searching for a diverse range of activities to offer and aiming to serve the local community to its fullest potential. The majority of our events are held in and around the Newton Abbot area (including the neighbouring towns mentioned above), but we also look to make use of the wider Teignbridge area, and further afield where possible, to be able to offer new and exciting events. Typical events we host, and might look to put on in the future, include; * Walks * Drinks events * Meals out * Movies / shows * Seasonal events (e.g. Easter parades, Christmas events) * Music festivals / concerts * Something a bit different!
