Six Legged Walks around Ledbury

Ledbury, F7

Six Legged Walks around Ledbury
This Meetup group is for well socialised dogs who want to bring their humans on a lovely hike in the Herefordshire, Gloucestershire or Worcestershire countryside. We’ll meet 2 or 3 times a month for energetic hikes of varying distances and they will usually involve a hill or two! The group is a voluntary amateur social group (your Meetup membership terms include a release of liability for group organisers) hence you are solely responsible for the safety and actions of yourself and your dogs and are expected to respect other group members, land and livestock, and other users of the areas we visit. Due to Meetup doubling their fees I've introduced a £5 joining fee and an annual £5 membership fee due every January. Anyone joining October to December won't be expected to pay the annual fee for their first year. This goes towards paying the meetup subscription cost and any surplus may be used towards other group activities or donated to dog charities. No one will earn any income from the group. So if you enjoy a good hike with your dog, discovering new routes and would like to meet other friendly dogs and their owners then please join us. (The group is for dog owners only plus one guest and membership numbers limited so that there is a good chance of meeting the same people and dogs repeatedly to encourage friendships. Any inactive members, or those who repeatedly cancel, will be politely but firmly removed to make way for anyone who may be waiting to join!)

Malvern Hills Social Walks

Malvern, Q4

Malvern Hills Social Walks
Want to get out and meet friendly people in the Malvern Hills area? Join us for social walks on the hills.   Our walks always end up at coffee shops and pubs. We want to keep fit, chat with friends, and discover great cake. We walk at a steady pace and take breathers but you'll always find a few climbs. So, please be fit enough to cope with this. Our weekend walks tend to be around 4-5 miles long. Our evening walks are a little shorter (3+ miles). We welcome all ages. Most people are somewhere between mid-forties and early sixties.   Please pay £2 per event **(and pay** **via PayPal as you book)**. Volunteer-run, 100% goes towards the Meetup fee (around £200/year). Beyond that, we donate every penny to a local charity (currently Severn Angels Housing and Support).   Got ideas for events? Want to host one? Please contact us, we’d love to hear from you.   Do join us soon. You’ll be glad you did.   **Things you should know:**   You’re responsible for your own safety when you attend our events. We’re simply creating social opportunities for like-minded people in the area.   **Please** **pay on booking**. We don't want to waste our time chasing you – we’re volunteers - we've got day jobs too. You're welcome to bring a non-member guest but remember to book two places and pay £2 for them as well. If we cancel the walk, we'll refund you. Should you decide not to come along, we won't. But your £2 will be going to charity. Please don't bring your dogs. We've got them too, but not everyone wants four legs running around. We tried 'dogs welcome' walks and had no take-up, so we stick to people for now.   Got questions about an event? Please get in touch *before* you book.

WOW SINGLES WALKING & SOCIAL GROUP - GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Gloucester, E6

WOW SINGLES WALKING & SOCIAL GROUP - GLOUCESTERSHIRE

We are a social group of walkers who enjoy the countryside primarily on Sundays with a few summer midweek outings. Our walks are generally 4 - 7 miles and rated at an easy to moderate level - the detail is spelled out in each meetup description. Our walks are moderately paced. We welcome everyone who considers themselves to be single and pride ourselves in offering a warm welcome to all newbies. Well behaved dogs are welcome but are the responsibility of their owners. You are advised to bring a bottle of water, appropriate clothing and footwear for the conditions. Bring a snack or picnic for the midpoint stop - we do also dally occasionally to allow for photographs or to admire the view. Afterwards we tend to adjourn to a local hostelry for a drink and/or food which is entirely optional.

The emphasis is on having a pleasant day out, visiting interesting and beautiful places, meeting people and making friends rather than conquering summits or getting from A to B as quickly as possible. WOW, have a wonderful day out, meet new friends, share a joke and a laugh.

We ask for a small donation of £2 towards the website Fees and the Organisers expenses in planning the Walk, each time that you walk with us. The walk leader will always have recently walked over the route.

When you book on a Walk and are unable to attend, please change your RSVP on the site to free the place for another Walker or send the walk leader a text message on the day. The walk will proceed shortly after the published time and will not wait unless a message is received that you are in the vicinity when we will wait for a few minutes.

Most of our Walkers are in the age range of 40/50/60's.

Please also note:

1) That by signing up for this Group, you accept that you take part entirely at your own risk.

2) Where as organisers are facilitating activities, he or she will not be held legally or otherwise responsible for any accidents or other mishaps during any event. Life in general and particularly outdoor activities are never without risks. " Those who take part consent to the Risk involved" The Group has no liability insurance and by signing up for the Group you agree that you will make your own risk assessment of the conditions of location and the weather.

3) If you have any doubts about you abilities, the weather conditions or the terrain or the ground, you must discuss it with your Organiser before the start of the Walk.

4) Please advise your fellow Walkers as early as possible if you encounter difficulties during a Walk or if you see another Walker with problems.

We walk in rural areas and there is no Public Transport to the start of our Walks. You do need organise your own transport to get there.
