Make new friends in London (9200+ friends)
This is a group for people who would like to find new relationships and make new friends in one of the most vibrant cities in the world! London. You are bored of being solo and would like to change that. You would like to make new friends and make them fast! Join us and let us help you make that happen. We organise roughly about 4 socials in a month closer towards the weekends, so many people can join us after work in the city to mingle with each other. Our venues tend to be easily accessible by public transport. Our social events tend to be catered towards to about 15 to 20 members at any given time, which gives members an opportunity to mingle with everyone present. Here is how we will do things differently Ever since Covid has occurred the world has changed ways in how we function and operate. Meeting people of various cultures has become difficult with various restrictions and with online events people rarely have the opportunity of meeting face to face and this results in not getting the right opportunity to meet in person. We will always have hosts at all our events. You will always be greeted by someone at all our events and introduced to others. Click on the link to understand [WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO SOCIALISE AT OUR MEETUPS!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LRateMtBKE) We will minimise no shows by requiring attendees to pay a deposit in advance. No shows are misleading and not fun for organisers nor for members. We will strive to attract a high quality membership who prefer higher quality venues and events. We will constantly request members to help us host events and take a lead on activities so that we have energy and variety. Click on the link to our website and have a look at our other cities that we host in - [www.fastfriends.co.uk](https://fastfriends.co.uk/) I very much hope that you will join us and create a vibrant social community which is close-knit and high quality.

*Free* The Make New Friends Club

*Free* The Make New Friends Club

We're back!!...

Despite having a population of 9 million, London can surprisingly feel a little lonely sometimes - especially if you're new to the area or the country. What seems so simple (Making new friends) can feel a little difficult, a little scary, a little awkward - especially if you're not lucky to have a socially encouraged platform to do so.

This is where this Meet up Group comes in - designed to attract like-minded people to meet up and get to know each other. Through thought provoking conversations (Not just the standard, normal ones but fun questions which give a real insight into who you are and what you think), simple yet exciting games and hopefully many laughs - you'll be interacting and making new friends very quickly. All levels of English are welcome!

The group originally ran between 2016 and 2019 but due to COVID we paused the group. However, I believe it's the right time to return. Previously, many friendships were made and we often did activities together outside the meet up. At the moment, we have our limitations but as time goes on, hopefully we can explore and do different things together.

The Meet ups are held in Stratford for a few reasons:

1) I don't charge anything to organise and host the groups, so to save me losing travel costs we do it in the area where I live :D. This has advantages because I know how to find people if they get lost and also where places, toilets, etc. are if people need them.

2) It has a big lovely park for us to enjoy on sunny days. It also has a huge Westfield shopping mall for people to visit after the meet up. So if there are certain errands that somebody needs to do during the week, they can save it for after the meet up as they'll already be close to the mall.

3) It has over 120 restaurants and places to eat, so if people want to continue after the meet up to get a bite to eat, they can do :)

4) It has really good transport links. Stratford is on the Central line, the Jubilee line, the Overground, the TFL, the DLR, the High Speed South Eastern and soon Crossrail. From Oxford Circus, Camden Road, Waterloo it's less than 20 minutes and from Liverpool Street only 7 minutes. It's closer than the tube map indicates. Oh and and buses!

About your host:

My name's Luke and I'm a comedian who's (as you'll soon discover) fascinated with philosophical conundrums, the romanticism of love and entertaining people. I also enjoy encouraging you all to achieve more than other people think you can. Whatever dream you have, chase it. Today.

And if you want some proof of this comedy I speak of, here's a 13 minute film I created a couple of years ago on my Youtube Channel:

Female Friends - London (20-45yrs)

Female Friends - London (20-45yrs)
Welcome to our community! This group is made for ladies who want to make new female friends in London in a relaxed environment. We hope you will make lifelong girlfriends here, as well as enjoy all the fun London has to offer. There will be several events each month ranging from brunch, theatre, days out and much more! Suggestions for events are welcomed and encouraged. We encourage new people to attend, so feel free to RSVP to events that take you interest! 👩🏿‍🤝‍👩🏼❤️ \ Our Ethos - We want everyone to contribute to the success and joy of this group, and this involves turning up to the events you RSVP to. Showing up is a commitment we want everyone to make, as this helps the organisers maximise the spaces booked, helps the attendees meet more new people, and most importantly it help you fulfil the commitment you made to yourself to meet nice new friends. WE STRICTLY DO NOT DO ANY NETWORING OR ANY BUSINESS-RELATED EVENTS OF ANY KIND, NO EXCEPTIONS. This group is for meaningful friendships and quality time amongst women in London. NO-SHOW POLICY – We would like to maximise every event for your full enjoyment, therefore we encourage you to turn up to the events you RSVP to. All attendance is monitored. TWO missed events will be marked as 'no-shows', and a polite reminder will be sent to you. If you do not show up THREE times when you have RSVP'd as "Yes" without sending a message and changing your RSVP, you will be automatically removed from the group. Its important you RSVP to things you can attend to, and change you RSVP in good time if other plans come up. Please do this so we can offer your spot to someone else if you decide not to attend. This rule applies to last minute drop outs (UNDER 48hrs) without a message too. This is to make sure that we maximise all the space we book for events and include more people who want to participate and enjoy meeting each other. \ PAYMENT - Please note, running this group is not free and lead organisers pay Meet-up a monthly fee to keep the group running. Therefore RSVPs will be charged a non-refundable £3 for all events. Some events might also require an additional fee if the restaurant or event venue requires a prepayment. This £3 is non-refundable under all circumstances unless only if the organisers cancel the event. If you cancel your RSVP the non-refund still applies. If you would like to support the continued running of this group you can also donate any amount to our PayPal pool which I can send to you if you request the link :) \ WAITLIST - Please be aware that we currently don't have waitlist and all events are first come first serve. Updates will be sent out once we can have a functioning waitlist. \ SAFETY AND COURTESY: We want everyone to have a fun and safe time when attending our events, and we want our organisers to communicate with attendees about event updates with confidence that they will be treated with respect - therefore we follow Meet-up's policy on safety strictly. We do not tolerate any abusive language towards anyone in this group. Please DM people with respect. Any members found to be harassing/insulting/threatening/bullying any member of this group will be removed immediately and the ban will be permanent. We also make reports to meet-up who have the power to remove any policy breakers of the platform completely. SOCIAL MEDIA: Our Instagram handle is @femalefriendsLDN. Please follow. We take pictures at events. If you do not want your picture uploaded please let the organiser know and they will delete all pictures featuring you.

Greenwich Borough Friends Meetup Group - New and Improved

London, 17

Greenwich Borough Friends Meetup Group - New and Improved
**Greenwich Borough Friends Meetup Group** **Introduction** Greenwich Friends Meetup Group is a community based social group facilitated by the social networking portal MeetUp. Established in 2012 the group has members from within Greenwich and further afield. The primary aim of the group is to offer opportunities for members to attend social events in and around the Greenwich area. These events are held in public places and commercial establishments open to the public. The group does not have its own premises and does not hold events in private dwellings. The purpose of the Greenwich Friends Meetup Group is to be an open and inclusive social group and as such the group welcomes members regardless of background, beliefs, or circumstance and no restrictions are placed on membership. As a group we are proud to embrace a large and diverse membership.  Greenwich Friends Meetup Group is run by volunteers who are not professional event organisers. The group is not funded by any other organisation and all events are offered at no cost (Members are responsible for the purchase of their own tickets for any event such as theatre trips) and no charges are made for membership. To ensure that the group retains its open and approachable ethos a number of house rules and courtesies have been created to ensure that all members have a safe and enjoyable experience when attending one of our events. **General Conduct** 1.  Attending events. The group understands that members have busy lives and that things happen that mean it is not always possible for a member to attend an event for which they have signed up. All we ask is that people to change their RSVP on the Greenwich Friends Meetup page if they are unable to attend. This helps to host to manage the event more effectively and allows members on a waitlist to attend. 2.  Behaviour towards other members. As an open and diverse group it is to be expected that members will have differing opinions on a wide range of matters. While this is an interesting and valued aspect of the group, members must at all time respect the beliefs and values of all other members and refrain from making personal or abusive comments about other members. Any breaches of this behaviour could result in a member being barred from the group. To ensure that respect for members beliefs are upheld within certain events such as a topical debating forum a specific set of guidelines has been drawn up. See Debating Rules for details of these. 3.  Behaviour towards organisers/hosts. Greenwich Friends Meetup Group is run by volunteers who at all times aim to provide an enjoyable and sociable experience for members. The organisers are not responsible for the quality or content of events such as theatre productions or restaurant meals. These things are out of the group’s control. Hosts are always happy to receive constructive feedback from members on an event but negative and personal criticism of the group and it’s hosts is of very limited benefit and not in the nature of this MeetUp group. **Access Statement** To assist any members of the group with disabilities in accessing our events an access statement has been published to clarify the position of Greenwich Friends Meetup Group. This gives details with regard to access into events and support before, during and after these events. The statement covers issues concerning the responsibilities of the organisers and hosts with regard to members with disabilities and their corresponding responsibilities. For more detailed information please refer to the Access Statement on these pages. **Commercial Enterprise** The purpose of the Greenwich Friends Meetup Group is to provide opportunities to attend local social events in and around the Greenwich area. It is not a commercial organisation and is not funded or sponsored by any third party. Such external event are beyond the control of the group and the inclusion of advertisements could be construed as an endorsement of, or other form of support for, the event.  For this reason it has been agreed that this forum is not an appropriate platform for advertising commercial ventures of any kind regardless of their nature or purpose. Requests for such postings will be refused and any which are displayed will be removed. **Disclaimer** Greenwich Friends Meetup Group is an open and inclusive social group who welcomes all to become members. As the group meets in a wide variety of public locations the hosts and organisers cannot be responsible for the welfare, safety or access needs of any member who chooses to participate in any event organised by this group. While all reasonable steps will be taken to offer inclusive and accessible events ultimately not all events will be suitable for all members. Every member is responsible for their own health, safety, comfort, enjoyment and welfare and retains the responsibility for this throughout any event. Please also be aware that this disclaimer includes, incorporates and applies, where relevant, the whole of the Meetup.com term of service agreement which specifically states that members join Meetup and attend all Meetups at their own risk and cannot hold Meetup.com or its organisers and other members liable for damages.
