Bexley Area Circle of Friends - For Ladies

Crayford, G5

Bexley Area Circle of Friends - For Ladies
We are a friendly group of ladies from Bexley, Crayford, Dartford, Sidcup and surrounding areas. This group is aimed at ladies in the 50 plus age group who feel they would like to make new friends, chat over a coffee, go for a walk, see a film, dine out, or a number of other activities. The majority of our events are during the daytime so this may not suit ladies that work full time, though some events are at weekends and occasional evening, anyone is welcome to join. Occasionally some venues are small so numbers will be restricted, we normally have a waiting list for these events in case someone can't make it, so click on the rsvp anyway and that will add you to the wait list, and check back near the time to see if you have been added to the event. If you can't find something to fit in with your commitments, why not host an event? Please speak to one of the organisers. **Membership fees are used to pay the costs that Meetup charge for us to use this site.** Membership fee is £5.00 per year due by 1st December each year. Any members who haven't renewed by 31st December risk being removed. New members have **7 days** to look at the type of events we do before membership will be due if you decide to stay with us. Members may bring a friend (+1) along to 3 meetups as a guest if the event allows. After this they would need to join and pay their membership fee before attending more events. **Please note that popular events will be available to members first, therefore I would urge you to encourage your +1 to join otherwise they could miss out!** We look forward to meeting you all. **The Rules** If you RSVP yes to an event and then for some reason you can't make it please change your RSVP to not going at least **24hrs** prior to the event starting **preferably 48hrs**, **this includes the waiting list**, as it's unfair when people don't show up or cancel at the last minute, it holds up the group waiting for someone who's not coming, plus may prevent others from attending an event that's full. If you are on a waitlist for an event you must check right up until the morning of the event as you could be accepted in at short notice if someone drops out. If this happens and you do not attend you will be listed as a no show. If you are on a waitlist and make other arrangements for that day, please remove yourself from the waitlist. Also anyone who repeatedly RSVP's to events and then cancels will risk being removed from the group, as this prevents others from joining in. DO CHECK YOUR DIARIES BEFORE SAYING YES TO AN EVENT!!!! **To remain a member you will need to have attended an event in the last 6 months, this is to enable new members a chance to join.** Sorry but if you RSVP yes 3 times and then don't show up without changing your RSVP to not going you will be removed from the group. Please note that if you have not RSVP'd to attend an event there is no need to say that you are not going to an event. All members are required to have a **profile picture of their face not views, pets or other family members!** That's it for the rules, so we look forward to seeing you all and building our circle of friends. x

How to make stress your friend-The Growth Mindset-TGM

Beckenham, N7

How to make stress your friend-The Growth Mindset-TGM
This is a free online event, and we'll send the link to those who sign up on Meetup and RSVP. Our goal is to create a supportive community for adults to share their life experiences. This space allows you to offload and process challenges while receiving support from others facing similar situations. The most valuable resource in building healthy individuals and communities is the people themselves. Group work fosters positive interaction and meaningful contributions. Sessions include self-help groups and mindset webinars, so keep an eye on the Meetup page for updates. Our sessions focus on stress management and self-regulation, helping participants discover healthy coping mechanisms for life's stressors. While some stress is natural, it can sometimes overwhelm other healthy emotions. We aim to help you find balance and resilience. I am a stress management and mindfulness therapist, mindset coach, and mental health social worker by background. **Meetup Info:** * **Cost:** Free * **Duration:** Up to 90 minutes For inquiries, please message me on the Meetup page or email tony.depalmas@outlook.it. I also offer one-on-one online sessions; feel free to email me to discuss prices, structure, and delivery. ***Please try to arrive on time for the start of the lesson.*** **Sensitive Subject Area:** The group sessions are delivered by an experienced and trained therapist, but they are not specifically designed to treat mental health problems, nor are they a therapy or support group. Please join this course only if you feel it is safe to do so. It is best to consult your GP or therapist if you need mental health support. The aim is to keep everyone safe. If you are unsure about anything, please contact me to discuss it.\*\*\* Tony De Palmas Mental Health Social Worker \| Stress Management Therapist \| Health and Mindset Coach United Kingdom tony\.depalmas@outlook\.it \| \(0044\) 07852734126

One Step (Socialising in Bromley Borough)

Bromley, G5

One Step (Socialising in Bromley Borough)

One Step is a Bromley and surrounding towns based group for people that don’t want to just sit at home; but go out and meet people, and is a great way of making new friends. We are a friendly social group that meets up on a regular basis to attend events that members host. Anyone can organise or suggest an event. The group is very democratically run. We are are a welcoming, friendly bunch, and always make new members feel very welcome and at home with us. Lots of good friendships have been made through the group over the years.

We have events all over the Borough of Bromley, and Bexleyheath area. We have been established as a social group since 1998. Originally set up for 30-55 but we’re not ageist!

Once a month we schedule a programme events for the following month. These can be anything from:-

•Pub quizzes and pub nights

• Meals out in local restaurants

• Cinema nights

• Walks and days out

• BBQs and house parties

• Ten Pin bowling and crazy golf .

• Live music and Discos

• plus many more

New ideas for events are always welcome. This is a club for meeting new friends, and not a dating site. Singles and couples welcome.

We have 2 types of membership: New joiners will automatically become "Pay as You Go" members. where you pay a £1 meetup fee each time you attend an event.  "Pay As You Go" members will not be entitled to the extra benefits that full members receive.

If you find that you come to a number of events, we would recommend you then upgrade to "Full Membership", as this is far more economical for regular attendees. To upgrade to Full Membership there is a fee paid in advance for the remainder of the year. Once upgraded to Full Membership, it allows you to attend unlimited events, and you do not need to pay anymore £1 meetup fees whilst a Full Member. Full Membership also entitles you to a subsidy towards our Christmas meal event. In addition, Full members also receive the monthly official One Step programme by email. This includes all the One Step meetup events, plus may sometimes have events on it that are not on the meetup site, as they are only open for full members to attend, eg house events and some days out. Plus the 5 month attendence rule does not apply.

Our "Full Membership" year goes from Jan 1st to Dec 31st. For 2016 annual full membership fee is £15. For members that upgrade part way through the year, the fee is worked out pro-rata. In January you can either renew as a Full Member or revert back to "pay as you go". For more details please see
http://www.meetup.com/One-Step-Socialising-in-Bromley-Borough/pages/Full_Membership_Upgrade_Fees/

Ideally  we would like the group to consist of relatively active members. "Pay as you go" members will need to attend at least one event every 5 months to remain in the group. (We will let you know a month beforehand if you risk losing your membership for non attendence, so that you can RSVP for an event to maintain your membership) . If your membership expires, you are very welcome to rejoin the group at a later date.

All monies collected are for group expenses, not for profit!

We look forward to seeing you soon, for your "One Step" to a brilliant new social life and meeting new friends

*Attendance Policyand No Show/Late Cancel policy:

*Respect and consideration for others are Top Priority; please be considerate by refraining from being a "NO SHOW" (Not showing up and leaving your RSVP a "yes", or changing RSVP to a "no" within 2 hours of an event and not communicating with the organizer) .

*Events take work for organizers to coordinate. Please make sure you are able to make it to an event to which you RSVP and if you anticipate a conflict or being late, give us a heads up. We understand that things come up and life interferes, but please do your best

*If you find that you can't make it to something you've signed up for -- PLEASE CHANGE YOUR RSVP as soon as possible, or message an organizer/event host if it is within 2 hours of the event. Events take time & energy to plan. If you don't show up AND make no effort to let the Event Planner know what happened --- that's a "NO SHOW".

If you have a history of doing this (we keep track of attendance on your profile), we won't be able to count on you to show up when you say you are going to. Out of respect and courtesy to others that DO show up, we may bump you to the waiting list for meetups with limited space in favor of those with a positive attendance history. If you make a habit out of no showing or late cancelling, we will remove you from the group.

If you "no show" 3 times then you will be removed from the group even if you have paid a full membership fee.
