Cheltenham has one of the most vibrant Salsa scenes in the South West. SALSA SQUAD hold Salsa lesson/dance nights on Mondays at Bishops Cleeve Tithe Barn. If it's your first time we will ease you in with a really fun and simple Absolute Beginners Salsa Class where you will learn the basic Salsa steps. We also hold classes at level 2 and level 3 for those who already know the basics. The classes are followed by Salsa dancing where you can practice your newfound skill to all the latest Latin beats. FAQ’s: Do I need a partner? No, you are welcome to come alone, with a partner or with friends. During the class you will rotate partners frequently, a great way of meeting new people. Is it Covid Safe? We respectfully ask that guests 'Test or Rest'. This means, if you: \* Are showing any symptoms of Covid \* Have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive \* Have tested positive in the last 10 days Please either take a lateral flow test before attending or rest up at home so you don't risk spreading the virus amongst fellow dancers. Evesham Over 45's Meetup

Thank you for taking a look at our Group. We have been going since 2014 and we differ from a lot of other Meetup groups in that our ethos is all about making friends and enjoying activities together. For that reason, we ask members to attend an event at least once every 6 to 8 weeks, so that everybody in the group is an 'active' member. We normally meet for coffee/drink and a chat twice month to discuss what we would like to do at future events, and we now have a really varied selection of things to choose from. Nobody is expected to come to everything - that's not realistic - but the more events you can come to, the better. As our members come from Pershore, Redditch, Tewkesbury and Evesham we put events on in these areas so there is always somewhere new to go, and we try to encourage members to 'host' events, although this isn't as daunting as you might think - (not much more than a head-count really) and we are always happy to do that for you if you don't want to! Anybody who is 45 or over is very welcome. If you feel this group is for you, please join us, and start visiting places that just aren't any fun on your own, with your new friends. We look forward to meeting you soon. At our first AGM in 2015 it was decided that all members must put a photo of themselves on the site, together with your first and surnames on your profile - this is a closed group, so non-members will not be able to see names or photos. If you have a strong objection to putting your full surname on, an initial may be acceptable under certain circumstances. Without both of these, you will be asked to add them before joining. You may also like to know that we all pay a £12.00 subs fee annually – payable after your second event/meeting where you can decide if the group is for you or not. Members that don't attend meetings for a period of 2 months or more will be taken off the active list but can re-join (space permitting) at a later date if they find they have more time to devote to the group. Christian Meditation Weekly Meet-ups

*We welcome everyone who is interested in pressing pause and joining with others to meditate. This group is open to people of all backgrounds, ages and beliefs.* Contemplative practice (also known as meditation or silent prayer) refers to the spiritual art of turning to the sacred within, through the disciplines of stillness and awareness. Through these simple practices we may be liberated from the resistances and self-orientated habits that veil the sacred. Even after committing to the practice for a short period of time, people regularly report that they experience greater peace, improved relationships and a more conscious connection to God. A growing number of people from all walks of life gather together via Zoom every Saturday between 08:30 – 09:30 (UK time) and every Wednesday between 20:00 - 20:40 (UK time). You're warmly welcome to either or both! Each session is free of charge and includes a short teaching, some simple guidelines and a 25 minute period of silent meditation. At the end, we have time for conversation and shared exploration of any questions that may arise. The sessions are led by Chris Whittington - Founder of The School of Contemplative Life.
