In future, we’ll aim to add more dance styles including Reggaeton, Salsa, Commercial and Contemporary ☺️ but this group is to nurture the dance scene in Stroud, so join us to shape what dance styles YOU’d like to see in future!

Most of our members are 50+ but we are open to anyone and aim to have a wide variety of social events across the North Gloucestershire area. We are a Branch of The Oddfellows, one of the largest and oldest friendly societies in the UK. Through friendship and social events, we help our members get more enjoyment out of life, and offer care, advice and support in times of need. Our Branch holds regular get-togethers including talks, walks, dine arounds, tai chi, meditation, group short breaks, cinema trips, demonstrations, quizzes and more to help our members have fun, stay active and make friends.

Hello 👋 I am from Barcelona, and totally new to Worcester. I am willing to meet like-minded (and maybe not so like -minded) people, to socialise and have a good time. How does meeting in the centre for a coffee, chat and maybe a walk sound? The goal is making new friends, so everybody welcome, I bet we are all just as weird and wonderful as anybody else. This Meetup group is for people who love great curries, like trying new restaurants, and who enjoy meeting new people. It's as simple as that. The Curry Club meets about twice a month at a range of curryhouses which are in and around Ledbury, including Bromyard, Tewkesbury, Hereford, Malvern, Ross and occasionally Cheltenham. We have our favourites - like the Everest Eatery in Malvern Link and Sitara in Ledbury - but we are always looking for new places to try. There is no membership fee. However, everyone attending a curry night contributes £2 which goes towards paying the fee for the Meet-Up subscription, and at the end of the year, any surplus is donated to a local charity. So if you love curries, like trying new places, and would like to 'meet up' with an eclectic group of fellow curry-lovers for some good food, conversation and laughter, then do come and join us! (We deliberately keep membership number under 50 - and unfortunately this does mean there's a waiting list, and it may be quite a few months before a space is freed up).

Ledbury is often, and rightly, associated with poetry - Elizabeth Barrett Browning and John Masefield have links to the town, and the Dymock Poets were based just a few miles down the road. The acclaimed Ledbury Poetry Festival brings poetry fans to the town every summer. BUT - this new group celebrates the art of prose writing. Whether you're an experienced writer or just starting out, this is a place where people based in and near Ledbury can share work, receive feedback, or just come to shoot the breeze (it's also a social group!). Once we have enough members we'll be meeting up once or twice a month, in pubs, coffee shops or other public spaces - maybe outside if it's a sunny day. Let's inspire one another to reach new heights of creativity. Come and unleash your literary genius - or just come for a chat, to see if it's for you.

This Meetup group is for well socialised dogs who want to bring their humans on a lovely hike in the Herefordshire, Gloucestershire or Worcestershire countryside. We’ll meet 2 or 3 times a month for energetic hikes of varying distances and they will usually involve a hill or two! The group is a voluntary amateur social group (your Meetup membership terms include a release of liability for group organisers) hence you are solely responsible for the safety and actions of yourself and your dogs and are expected to respect other group members, land and livestock, and other users of the areas we visit. Due to Meetup doubling their fees I've introduced a £5 joining fee and an annual £5 membership fee due every January. Anyone joining October to December won't be expected to pay the annual fee for their first year. This goes towards paying the meetup subscription cost and any surplus may be used towards other group activities or donated to dog charities. No one will earn any income from the group. So if you enjoy a good hike with your dog, discovering new routes and would like to meet other friendly dogs and their owners then please join us. (The group is for dog owners only plus one guest and membership numbers limited so that there is a good chance of meeting the same people and dogs repeatedly to encourage friendships. Any inactive members, or those who repeatedly cancel, will be politely but firmly removed to make way for anyone who may be waiting to join!)

We all ride and enjoy sharing our passion of motorcycling with other like-minded riders and pillions. Want to get out and meet friendly people in the Malvern Hills area? Join us for social walks on the hills.   Our walks always end up at coffee shops and pubs. We want to keep fit, chat with friends, and discover great cake. We walk at a steady pace and take breathers but you'll always find a few climbs. So, please be fit enough to cope with this. Our weekend walks tend to be around 4-5 miles long. Our evening walks are a little shorter (3+ miles). We welcome all ages. Most people are somewhere between mid-forties and early sixties.   Please pay £2 per event **(and pay** **via PayPal as you book)**. Volunteer-run, 100% goes towards the Meetup fee (around £200/year). Beyond that, we donate every penny to a local charity (currently Severn Angels Housing and Support).   Got ideas for events? Welcome to the Malvern Hills District Footpath Society Meetup group. If you enjoy exploring new footpaths, beautiful scenery, and connecting with like-minded individuals, then this is the group for you. We enjoy welcoming new members on our regular short Saturday and Wednesday walks which are usually between 4 and 6 miles. We also have Saturday (occasionally Sunday) long walks of between 8 and 10 miles. Once a paid up member we would encourage you to lead a walk at least once a year. Explore by Paw is a friendly group of dog walkers in South Warwickshire and Worcestershire. We meet on Saturday mornings and occasional weekdays for a 3-6 mile dog walk across open countryside and usually manage to find a dog-friendly pub or cafe at the end of the walk. Due to the growing trend of dog thefts new members must allow the organiser to see their full profile and picture when asking to join. The reasons for this are obvious.  Explore by Paw walks are for friendly adult dogs with good recall. **You** must be able to lift your dog over obstacles and walk 5-6 miles at a reasonable pace. As this is a dog walking group, we do not have the training or experience to help people with long-term health issues. We are happy to recommend other suitable groups though. The group has a **Code of Conduct**. This is posted up as an event so it's easy to find. All members joining the group are assumed to have read, understood and agreed to the Code of Conduct.  **There is a small charge per walk of £2.00**   The group is non-profit making and funds are used to maintain the group. MeetUp doesn't charge individuals to join, but groups do pay to use MeetUp.   Explore by Paw is sponsored by the [Driving with Dogs](https://www.drivingwithdogs.co.uk) website, and they provide our walk routes.  **Please don't join the group if ....** Sorry, these walks aren't suitable for growing puppies under 12 months (please see the Kennel Club health guidelines on this) or dogs who can't manage stiles on their own.  Very small toy breeds, such as chihuahuas, may not join the group because of the high risk of injury to them from the larger dogs. If you have a toy dog, the Ramblers Association is probably a better bet.  Boxers, Pugs, Staffies and other dogs with retracted noses frequently struggle with the distance. If your dog has issues with breathing on walks then this may not be the group for you.

Do you live in the Gloucestershire, Herefordshire or Worcestershire (GHW!) area? I'd love to meet other people who want to get out and about at weekends and sample some of our finer dining establishments. Singles and Couples are welcome though you'll both need to join the group individually. As I live in Ledbury most places I book will be roughly within a 25 mile radius though I'm happy to drive a bit further sometimes for really good food. I'll organise at least one Sunday Lunch per month initially and charge £2 per event, payable in cash on the day. Meetup isn't free and this will help to cover subscription fees which are now well over £200 per year. Let's see how this goes!
