Welcome to New Friends in Wrexham. New Friends in Wrexham is a group of like-minded people, who want to explore their surroundings. The main ethos of this group is to develop new friendships, and to participate in varied functions with other people. New Friends in Wrexham will gather for: walks, theatre, concerts, hiking, comedy, lunches, evening meals, weekends away, days out and more! This group is perfect to offer diversity, culture, history, but most of all to meet new people from all corners of life. This group is a non-profit organisation, so we're asking for a small donation of £3 per year to join this group. This group encourages organisers to put forward any new ideas to the group, so if you feel you have an inspiring event, please feel free to contact an organiser, and suggest forthcoming events to them. When attending events, please show respect to other members, and if you have committed to an event, but to due personal circumstances you can no longer attend that particular event, please out of curtesy inform the organiser as soon as possible that you are unable to attend. We also advise members to not put guests immediately on an event who are not in New Friends In Wrexham. are aims are to prioritise events to New Friends In Wrexham members first, however, if surplus spaces do become available for events, then bringing a guest or guests would be more practical. Approval of membership is when your £3 has been paid, alongside a clear an up-to-date photograph of yourself. Account details will be provided on approval of your application. DISCLAIMER - THIS GROUP DOES NOT HAVE ANY INSURANCE COVER FOR ANY OF THE ACTIVITIES OFFERED. We would like to be able to recognise you when you attend your first event.   \ Our activities will be primarily in Denbighshire, Flintshire and surrounding areas and will include dining out, walking, cinema and theatre, art and culture and many more. We welcome suggestions from all members to add to our events calendar. \ A small membership fee of £5 is payable when you join and is renewed annually on 1 July. This is to cover the Meetup site charges and any incidental expenses. Terms and Conditions 1\. There is an annual fee of £5 payable within a week of joining and is renewable annually on 1st July\. Please pay via PayPal to denbighshiremeetup@gmail\.com\. Please ensure you mark your payment as Friends and Family otherwise we will be charged a fee\. The payment will show as being paid to Kim Elliott on PayPal \(Kim is one of our Co\-organisers\)\. If a member joins part way through the year the full amount of £5 will be payable\, within reason\. Please ensure that your profile picture is a photograph of you and not something else\. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards members who misbehave or abuse others in any form, whether physically or verbally and they will be removed from the group immediately. \ 4. Remember that you should be aware of and accept these risks as you are solely responsible for your own safety and you should not undertake anything beyond your abilities. It is also your responsibility to be correctly equipped for the weather and activity you have chosen to participate in. \ 5. Some activities such as restaurant bookings require deposits to be paid. If any member has paid a deposit and either fails to partake or cancels less than one week prior to the date of the event their deposit will not be returned.\ 6. If a member responds as coming to an event and then finds that they are unable to attend their response must be changed to not coming. It is very frustrating for organisers to be waiting around for someone who does not arrive. Not adhering to this rule may result in expulsion from the group. 7. Plus-ones are for people who are visiting you from out of the area or for a friend who would like to accompany a member for their first event. In the latter case, if that friend would like to attend future events, he/she will need to join the group and pay a membership fee.

Llandudno Meetups
THIS IS WHAT WE ARE. A small ‘mature’ group of ordinary people, mostly 58+, based in Llandudno but we operate in Conwy County area, with a few Events outside. Our aim is to bring people together, socialise, exercise, and enjoy the company of friends.   Last year we scheduled some 100 events and to those some 900 attendances. (Hill Walks 31 @ 3-7 mile; Flat Stroll 18 @; 2-4 miles; Dinner 15; Coffees 14; and 20 odd events like bike ride, theatre and games.) You are informed that we are nothing more than friends, inviting others to participate. We have no Leaders, no qualifications, no insurance, & no liability. It is up to you to make yourself aware, decide whether you are able or fitted to join an Event, and if you wish, to maintain suitable insurance. We do however recognise our duty of care to you, so be assured we will look after you to the best we can. We do need our members to be able to readily participate, therefor we don’t accept applications from further afield than North Wales. EAT, PRAY, LIVE (Christian Social Networking)

Wirral, 28

EAT, PRAY, LIVE (Christian Social Networking)

Welcome to the social group for Christians on the Wirral, Liverpool and surrounding areas.

Eat, Pray, Live is a inter-church social group aimed at bringing together local people of all backgrounds, ages and denominations

What makes us different?

We are an inclusive group. So, whether you’re in a couple, single, separated, divorced, widowed or simply looking to widen your social circles, this group is for you.

From our own experience we know there is a bit of a gap locally for Christians who, for whatever reason, are on their own and would like to get out and socialise with like-minded people.

We also have some more "mature" members who are not registered online but will be joining us on some events!  You will also have the option to bring guests to any event by simply "adding a guest" when you RSVP.

Eat, Pray, Live is about you. What do we mean by this? Our group is set up so the organiser will arrange some of the events, however, we are also looking for our members to suggest or set up events themselves.

What do we do?

Lots!

We put together a varied calendar of events, both secular and faith-based, such as outdoor activities, wining and dining, charity events, seminars and anything else the group can think of. We also aim to arrange a mix of low cost and free events where possible.

We know it can be daunting joining a new group, but we’ll always ensure a warm and friendly welcome in a relaxed environment.

Plus, we always remember that our faith doesn’t limit us when it comes to getting out and making the most of life!

What does membership involve?

There’s no pressure to attend events. We are home to a wide range of personalities, tastes and interests. So the choice is yours: simply join in as many or as few events as you want.

So get creative in your suggestions – the sky’s the limit!

Be Active Be Social

Wrexham, Z4

Be Active Be Social

My happiest moments in life are when I’m doing ‘stuff’ with like minded people, not taking life seriously and having fun. But sometimes it’s tricky to find the people to do ‘stuff’ with when you’re available and so it can be tough to motivate yourself to be active and social. So, this group aims to bring like minded people together to do stuff with in Wrexham and the surrounding area.

Although I started this group, I want it to belong to the community. Therefore, other people may organise ‘stuff’ and invite you to come along.

I am a spontaneous ‘planner’ so anything I add is likely to be last minute. I’ll also add notes and updates so please check Meetup regularly if you don’t want to miss my activity.

Id like this group to have good friendship etiquette so please be punctual, keep us updated, or cancel if you are unable to attend activities.

Note: There are no charges. However, the fees to use this platform need to be covered so contributions towards costs maybe requested prior to each gathering. Any surplus will always be donated to local charities.

We also have a Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/391347518436598/

This is an informal group, a group of like minded people using a platform to organize get togethers. It is not a formal group (e.g. there are no leaders, no experts, no insurance or anyone to compliment or complain to!). You must take responsibility for researching an activity, deciding if it’s appropriate for you and being responsible for ensuring you’re adequately prepared so you can look after your own health and safety. Hosts/organizers cannot be held liable as they are individuals inviting you to an activity they have planned as a friend. Finally, usual caution with respect to using any social media platform should be used. Thanks!
