Are you looking to meet new people in a fun, relaxed environment? Do you enjoy playing board games or want to give them a try? Whether you're a seasoned board game enthusiast or new to the world of tabletop games, our Meetup group is the perfect place for you! Come alone, bring some friends and family, or even a date, all are welcome. Hosted at the cozy and welcoming Kampen Bistro near the Ensjø subway stop in Oslo, known for its great food and drink, our board game nights provide a perfect blend of socializing and gaming. Englefabrikken, one of the charming rooms in the restaurant, offers a great setting for a night of fun and laughter. We generally try to host a game night on the first Tuesday of each month, though we're all human, so our adherence to that schedule varies. **What to Expect:** * **Variety of Games:** We have a wide selection of games ranging from social and party games to puzzles and strategic games. There’s something for everyone, whether you prefer light-hearted fun or a bit of a challenge. * **Inclusive Atmosphere:** Our group is all about enjoying the experience rather than focusing on winning. We welcome everyone, including those who haven't played many board games before. We'll be happy to introduce you to the games and help you get started. * **Food and Drink:** Kampen Bistro serves delicious food and drinks throughout the evening. * **Socializing:** This is a great opportunity to meet new people and make friends in Oslo. Come alone or bring friends—everyone is welcome! * **Language:** You'll find a mix of Norwegian and English here, so whether you're looking to learn some Norwegian or practice your English you'll be in good company. Jon (me, the host!) is happy to act as a sort of board game sommelier, and help pick the perfect game for you, ensuring you have a fantastic time no matter your taste. Feel free to bring your own favorite board games and share them with the group too. We look forward to seeing you at an event soon!

Wanderlust Walks Oslo

Wanderlust Walks Oslo
**Hello there, welcome to my hiking and outdoors community in Oslo.** My name is Monica, the founder of Wanderlust Walks. I am a Norwegian living in London, but I do spend a lot of time in Oslo throughout the year, which is why I have created Wanderlust Walks Oslo; a sister group to my original Wanderlust Walks in London where we are over 6000 members. Some of my weekend trips will be joint together between both groups, so by attending an event either in Norway or abroad you might end up making new friends in the U.K. too. Pretty cool if you ask me. You can check out my [London page here](https://www.meetup.com/Wanderlust-Walks/) to see what we have been up to since I founded WW back in October 2018. Okay, moving on. **Wanderlust Walks** is all about mindful walking and hiking (and the occasional yoga, cycling, kayaking and skiing trip too) both in Norway, England / U.K., and other European countries. Here you´ll find space to breath and just be, and to appreciate nature as we move through it. My walks and hikes are never a race against time, and my aim is rather to foster a supportive community where well-being and social togetherness is at the forefront. We make time for conversations, photography and to observe nature and wildlife. The latter we respect by staying on trails, and we keep nature clean by leaving no waste behind. We have a great and diverse community of both international members as well as locals, and people from all walks of life are welcome to join any of my events as long as it suits your physical abilities. We are mainly speaking English, but I gladly speak Norwegian with those who prefer. So, if you are curious about this funny Viking language and would like to learn a word or two, then don't be afraid to walk up to the front of the group (where you´ll find me) and say hello. For most parts I'll be doing locally, guided day walks and hikes in the woods around Oslo, such as Østmarka and Nordmarka ++ when I am back home in Norway, which is actually quite often. In addition to this, I will be arranging overnight stays away from Oslo from time to time, which gives an opportunity to escape the city and explore other sides to Norway. I often publish my day hikes 1-2 weeks ahead of time to eliminate the chances of something unpredictable getting in the way. Remember to switch on your Meetup notifications if you wish to receive a heads up about new events as soon as I publish them. **A bit about me** I moved to London in 2015 and quickly realised how much I missed the Norwegian nature, and I would probably say that I am addicted to being outdoors - typical Norwegians right? I love to share this enthusiasm with other like minded people who also feel a sense of pure joy and euphoria when spending time outdoors. I am a firm believer in that nature holds the solution to a calm and balanced mind, and that either walking, cycling, running or just simply taking the time to sit still and be present outdoors can relieve stress and worries. If you would like to see some pictures from our previous trips and events then tune in to my Instagram or Facebook account: * [Instragram](https://www.instagram.com/joinwanderlustwalks/) * [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/joinwanderlustwalks/) I hope some of my upcoming trips will trigger your wanderlust, and that you´d like to join me in our wondrous nature, together with like-minded people who share your passion for being outdoors. I have added my contact details below; don't hesitate to reach out should you have any questions or just want to say hi! * Email: wanderlustwalks@yahoo.com * Web: [Linktr.ee](https://linktr.ee/joinwanderlustwalks) Hope to see you out there! -Monica-

Greater Social Life Union of Oslo

Greater Social Life Union of Oslo

The Thumoslang Network is an association of groups whose members use Thumoslang, the nomenclature for social clarity, as their basic strategy for greater social life. Part of the network is the Greater Social Life Union (GSLU). Its mission is long-lasting joy for its members through faster actualization of their personal ideals.

There are many steps on your journey to greater social life. Here are the first steps for members of GSLU. After reading the rest of this introduction, you should read the 2021 book The Guide to Thumoslang. Many of our members put this new knowledge into practice as suggested by The GSLU Handbook.

When you spend more time in damage control mode and less time benefiting from your various relations, you waste a great deal of effort in your social life. Such a cost of opportunity keeps you from going at high speed towards your ideals, in creating your ideal self, and in actualizing what you truly want to become. This is likely due to a lack of social clarity, which is essential for internal conversations and vital for meaningful relationships.

Unintentionally created in 2017, accidentally discovered in 2018, and first taught in 2019, Thumoslang is the nomenclature for social clarity. It is used as a language for faster communication, be it in complex collaboration or difficult conversation. The first widespread use of social clarity has been predicted by Thumoslang pioneers to be just as important as the first widespread control of fire. All is explained by The Guide to Thumoslang, which is backed by The Dictionary of Thumoslang.

Again, the Thumoslang Network is an association of groups whose members use Thumoslang, the nomenclature for social clarity, as their basic strategy for greater social life. Part of the network is the Greater Social Life Union (GSLU). Its mission is long-lasting joy for its members through faster actualization of their personal ideals.

Your ideals are the same as your ideal self, which means what you truly want to become. "Everything else is secondary," said Steve Jobs. Our group activities involve you with the first practical steps in the further development of your ideals, in keeping others from interfering with your life, and in building a group of in-person friends who keep on encouraging you and nurturing your ideals. To be sure, if you lack social clarity in your internal conversations, face unwanted drama too often, are not sure of your social life or your path into the future, or have no friends and no groups available on a regular basis to help create your ideal self, this group is for you.

*** MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS ***

Benefit 4 - Meaningful Relationships Much Stronger

Our members use Thumoslang to mend or strengthen their existing relationships, build new relations, and achieve greater social life.

Benefit 5 - Faster Actualization of Your Ideals

The actualization of your ideals goes faster when it regularly involves your best group, which is the small group of in-person, second-mind friends who are the best for the nurturing of your ideals. Our activities help you speed up the actualization of your ideals by reducing social roadblocks and increasing social shortcuts in your life.
