On-water dragon boat practices last about 90 minutes and include technique drills and race pieces, while incorporating elements of interval, endurance, and power training. This practice is held in a dragon boat. Bring a water bottle and sunglasses or a cap with a brim or visor. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting wet. The best materials are quick drying synthetics. Don’t forget to apply water-proof/resistant sunscreen! If this is your first time paddling with us, please make sure to fill out our 30 second safety waiver before you arrive! https://form.jotform.com/240995144388165 We suggest an early arrival if you have never been on a dragon boat before. We will give you a quick run-down of boat commands, calls, and basic paddling technique prior to launch. Paddles and PFD life vests will be provided. The address to the map to the Tempe Town Lake’s Marina is 550 E Tempe Town Lake, Tempe, AZ, 85288. At the end of practice, the crew will stick around for 10-15 minutes to help wash and put away the boat.

Avondale play bunco and meet new friends Meetup Group

This group is for anyone young or old who wants to get together once a month and play Bunco in the west valley and meet new friends. The games will be Sunday afternoons at 2pm but I am open to other days and times. The games will be played at someone's house and each person can bring a dish to share. Each person will need to bring $5 to play and $3 if they want to stay after the game to play Left Right Center. This is open for any level of player and there is no dues required but if you want to pitch in $1 per game that is great too. All I ask is if you sign up to come you come and if you cant make it you change your RSVP so someone else can join. Each game needs a minimum of 12 players but would love to have 16 players. I know bunco has been around for awhile but I really enjoy playing and most games around me fill up pretty fast, so I thought I would start a new group. I look forward to meeting new people and having fun!
