Meet new friends groups near Desert Hot Springs, CA

I created a bar/drinking meeting group back in 2019 for Palm Springs locals. It was open to all ages, but it has become a de facto seniors’ group. There’s nothing wrong with that, but non-seniors stopped attending events, and most of the attendees weren’t “bar” people (i.e. didn’t stay out late, often didn’t drink, etc.).

So, we’re going to split the two groups, divided by age 60. This group will be the non-seniors’ group, and I’ll edit the other group to reflect its new age range, with the same title. This way no will feel excluded.

The group exists to help Coachella Valley locals (rather than tourists) to meet each other, and maybe explore some of the local nightlife together. Other than the age requirement, everyone is welcome, but please respect that it’s for people who like to party, at least on weekends. If you’d prefer to pick at a salad & drink waters for three hours, we’re not the right fit for you.

This Group is organized so that people can join together with Feral Alley Cats & friends SPCA to help come up with ideas for fundraising  to support the organization in reducing the feral cat (aka community cat) overpopulation. We need volunteers and look forward to expanding so that we can help as many cats as we can. We believe in educating the public on how important it is to have their cats and dogs fixed.

This is a group where gay Asian men and their friends meet up to socialize or find a date. Singles and couples are both welcome.  

Think of this as The Laughter Clinic - an intro to short-form fun and games/exercises played in a friendly, nurturing environment. Explore your inner ingenuity, storytelling and creative spontaneity. Open your imagination and confidence. Learn to think outside the box. Create new synapses. Be a better listener. Improv promotes making positive choices. Classes are different each session (two upcoming in April & May), so come to one or more workshops as they are different each time. Make new friends, real and imaginary. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED.

This is a group for anyone in southern California interested in singing hindi songs, songs of regional languages, ghazals, karaoke or playing accompanying instruments and organize discussions with famous personalities. Look forward to meeting like-minded friends. Will start with monthly gatherings in various cities by rotation. Other suggestions are welcome.
