Monterey LGBTQ & Friends Meetup

Monterey LGBTQ & Friends Meetup

Welcome!

We're trying to create a safe, fun, supportive group to get out and about in our beautiful local surroundings. We plan to hike, dine out, go dancing, play trivia, join community events and more!
If you're looking to get more involved, there are plenty of resources available! There's The Epicenter of Salinas, the county's first youth-led resource and community center, that hosts wonderful community events. A handful of our members are also involved with Rainbow Speakers and Friends as well, a volunteer group that provides education and outreach about LGBTQ issues in the local community. For more community resources, visit lgbtqmonterey.com

If you're interested in becoming a "co-organizer" of the LGBTQ Meetup, let us know. The more co-organizers in the group, the better! If you have ideas for activities, feel free to send a message to one of the group organizers. We're more than happy to hear your thoughts on events and gatherings.

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES:
1. All members of the meetup are expected to be courteous, kind and respectful.

2. This meetup is a drama-free zone. We want to create a warm, fun and welcoming environment for all members of our community and our allies. If you have any concerns regarding other members of the group, please come to a co-organizer first and we can discuss next steps to address any issues.

3. Monterey LGBTQ & Friends Meetup adopts a zero tolerance policy to any form of bullying, shaming, violence or harassment of any kind at any of our events and within our online space. Monterey LGBTQ & Friends Meetup reserves the right to handle situations in ways that honor our guidelines and reserves the right to remove members or co-organizer privileges.

4. Remember that everyone's path is different. We are all deserving of respect and we can all learn from each other!

5. Monterey LGBTQ & Friends is dedicated to being open to feedback about our events and encourages you to be open to feedback regarding behavior. Creating safer spaces for all is a team effort!

6. Any issues or complaints regarding venue that may arise should be addressed to the Meetup organizer for resolution. No mention of the LGBTQ Meetup should be used in writing complaints or reviews online.

Monterey Peninsula Friends of C.G. Jung

Carmel by the Sea, CA

Monterey Peninsula Friends of C.G. Jung
**Mission Statement** We are a group of people dedicated to creating a broader and deeper appreciation of analytical psychology, created by C.G. Jung. In our times of unprecedented change, we feel the urgency of re-examining our personal and collective narratives. We are committed to exploring, as did Jung, the forces that contribute to the destruction of Life and to its renewal in Wholeness. We meet regularly, sharing an enthusiasm for the philosophy and practices of depth psychology. Our meetings include presentations, discussions, and other programs. **Purpose** Our specific purpose is to meet as a group of people who share an enthusiasm for the philosophy and practices of analytical psychology created by C.G. Jung. Our meetings include lectures, workshops, seminars, and other programs. **History** Our founder was psychologist Joseph Pagano (1916-2012). Joseph studied at the Jung Institute in Zurich and served on the founding Board of the C.G. Jung Foundation of New York. Locating here in the mid-1980s as a counselor, he organized programs on dream work, process psychology, and "the phenomena of individual fulfillment." The Monterey Friends of C.G. Jung incorporated as a nonprofit in 2002. **Programs** We publish a triannual newsletter listing our Thursday evening meetings that run from 7 to 9 pm. Once a month, the Charlotte Rose Reading Group continues a long tradition of discussing the writings of Jung. We hold seasonal celebrations and occasional performance events with poetry, storytelling, music, and multimedia. **Contributions** We rely completely on voluntary contributions to sustain our programs. We suggest $10 per event, but accept anything!

Monterey Peninsula Sunset Club

Monterey, CA

Monterey Peninsula Sunset Club
The Sunset Club is for people who enjoy sunsets. We meet up on the 2nd Sunday of each month to enjoy the sunset (and other special occasions like a full moon rising at the same time as the sunset), and we share photos of sunsets that we see on our own on a Facebook page ("Monterey Peninsula Sunset Club"). The club offers people a way to experience sunsets from various locations around the peninsula: Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Carmel, and Seaside. It's also a great way to meet new friends. Join us if you want to expand your appreciation of sunsets, meet others who do too, and learn of locations to catch amazing sunsets in the future. We'll try to choose a different location every month, but there will be some locations that will be repeated just because they are so amazing and accessible. Members are encouraged to suggest locations, which will allow all of us new opportunities to enjoy sunsets. There are several other Sunset Clubs throughout California (LA, Orange County, Santa Cruz, and Sacramento). There are 2 in Washington (Seattle and Mukilteo) and 1 in McCall, Idaho. Each club has a Facebook group page (e.g. Sacramento Sunset Club, Mukilteo Sunset Club, etc.) to share photos and sunset club gathering opportunities. We will promote the gatherings on both FB and MeetUp. The concept of the Sunset Club started in college at Loyola Marymount University (many moons ago) as a way to get together with friends and enjoy the sunset on a bluff overlooking Marina Del Rey and Venice Beach. We're interested in collaborating with other groups who also are interested in enjoying sunsets in amazing natural settings, so don't hesitate to reach out to co-sponsor a gathering.

Astrology Meetup in Monterey

Monterey, CA

*Welcome to Astrology in Monterey! This group is for anyone interested in exploring astrology in a fun, interactive way—without all the typical rules and rituals. Our focus is on building community, making friendships, and connecting through the energy of the moon.* Each month, we host **New Moon** and **Full Moon** events at different restaurants around Monterey, where we gather to chat, share ideas, and dive into manifesting exercises together. These events are casual, engaging, and perfect for anyone looking to blend astrology with real-life connections. Here’s what to expect: * **New Moon Events**: A time for setting intentions and planting seeds for the month ahead. We’ll talk about what the upcoming lunar cycle means for you and explore creative ways to manifest what you desire. * **Full Moon Events**: A chance to release what no longer serves you and celebrate growth. These gatherings are about reflecting on the past month and letting go—while also having a great time with new friends. Since this is a **brand-new group**, I’m open to ideas and suggestions! I want this space to grow into a strong community, and your input is welcome. Whether you’re new to astrology or have years of experience, you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere here. With **two consistent events per month** (one for the new moon and one for the full moon), you’ll have regular opportunities to connect with others, dive deeper into astrology, and focus on personal growth in a supportive setting. Let’s make astrology fun, interactive, and real. Hope to see you at the next event!
