Our group was originally founded in 2005 by Viktoria. Tamara Joined the group in 2007 and became the head organizer in 2012. We are here to serve you! Any questions, just ask!

The purpose of this group is to have fun in a safe environment with friends. This is an interactive group where each member can organize events they would like to share with us. With any luck, there will be various events set up on a semi regular basis. The most important thing is to have fun!

Welcome to New Way Photography where a new concept in digital photography Meetups is being explored. Are you new to photography? Just got a new DSLR and are lost in the myriad of settings and controls. Do you want to learn about photography from the ground up or just refresh you knowledge? Have you ever been excited by what you see on your camera's LCD just to discover when you get home that your images are drab & lifeless? Perhaps you want to enhance your capabilities by learning a post-processing program like Lightroom, Photoshop or one of the many plugins or external editors to bring out the best in your photos. If any of this sounds like something you are looking for this is the group for you! In this Meetup we focus on getting results you'll be proud to show with emphasis on education and hands-on experience. We aim to cover everything from beginning to advanced, from Lightroom to Photoshop, from Speedlight to Studio light, and we cover technical topics and provide opportunities to use what you learn. Our approach is to use common sense in learning photography. We also organize many field trips throughout the year with emphasis on a classroom learned skill where you can practice with other members. The organizers who present the workshops attend the field trips to assist members and provide expertise where needed. Some charges may apply at certain Meetups to cover expenses such as model’s fees, rental of studio space, entrance fees to parks, museums, etc. We hold several workshops a month in a community center with lots of free parking in a nice air-conditioned classroom as well as on location throughout the South Florida Area and beyond. Most of all, we're dedicated to helping people learn new skills and enhance the ones they already possess. The best way to see what we're about is to check out future events.

This is a group for people who are new to the Fort Lauderdale area or just haven't experienced the what's there to offer as of yet. Ever wanted to go out either to dinner, movies, both or any event that seems fun but have nobody to really go out and enjoy it with? Shy and find it a bit challenging to make friends so soon in a new area? In your 20s or in the range? Join! Make friends and have fun without worrying about going out alone.
