Make New Friends Group

Orlando, FL

Make New Friends Group
It is a truism that in order to make friends, you have to be a friend. This sounds so simple, but it is a lot more than it sounds. Here is a list of 10 things to help you be a friend: * **Enjoy people** – Tell yourself, “I'm going to try to enjoy this conversation.” Loosen up. * **Express** – Don't hide who you are. Tell people the first thing you think about. Let them know your thoughts. * **Hear them out** – People are sacred. They deserve your full attention and understanding. Take care and take time to hear them out. * **Share** – Share your food, share your time, share your money (within reason), share your thoughts and ideas. Be willing to receive things other people share, too. * **Find commonalities** – Chances are you can find something in common with everyone you meet. * **Take initiative** – Don't wait. Be the person to start a conversation. You have to take the lead sometimes. * **Be willing to make mistakes** – Not everyone you meet are good people. It's okay to be hurt by people, as long as you survive to tell the tale. Hey, tell it as a war story to the new friend you make! * **Be positive** – No one wants to talk to someone who is negative all the time. It's okay to be hurt; it's okay to have problems, but do you want your hurts and your problems to define who you are? Be who you want to be, which at least is a positive person. * **Take responsibility for people** – Take the responsibility to help strangers and acquaintances simply because you know you want to. * **Tell them good things you are aware of** – If you know of an amazing sale, tell them. If you know of something really fun, tell them. If you know of a really good place, tell them. Take action! Come to our upcoming free Zoom meetings and put the above tips to practice right away! Remember: In order to make friends, you have to be a friend. Be a friend. Let's start! (Watch the inspiring video below, which is custom made for this meetup group.) This group is created by the Dianetics & Scientology life improvement center, to help people improve interpersonal relationships, social life, and make more friends.

For Chicks Who Dig Sports!

Orlando, FL

Ladies, if you are a fanatchick (sports fanatic + chick), this group is for you! Whether you like to watch games or you are an active woman who likes to play sports (or desire to try new sports), we will have plenty of gatherings for you to find like-minded women. Network, make new friends, grow your social life and maybe even make some business connections, all at the same time!

*DISCLAIMER - some meetups posted will be fundraisers for my charity youth program called 'She Wins!'.  I launched this in Orlando to get girls involved in sports. I have a mentoring program where we discuss various topics and then we introduce them to different sports. Through sports participation and having a forum to speak and discuss their curiosities, our girls will flourish, develop confidence and self-esteem and hopefully make smart life choices.  To learn more about She Wins!, please visit http://FanatchicksCare.org

Central Florida Social Club

Orlando, FL

Central Florida Social Club
Get together, meet new people, build relationships. Be social. Be out and about. Have fun and a good time! Join a group of young people in Orlando and its surrounding areas. We will be hosting social events for people to meet others and have a good time. That could be meeting for dining out, trying out a new place or activity, enjoying the outdoors, conversation at a bar or cafe, and so on. **—** Note: events might be changed (postponed, canceled, etc) due to cases such as adverse weather, venue issues, low turnout. **Donations** are welcome to help keep the club running. In case you didn't know, to have a group on Meetup you have to pay a monthly subscription. Message Mart the club owner about sending a donation to help fund our club operation. Thank you! **Volunteers** are welcome to help run our events. If you would like to cohost one of our events, let Mart know. You can post in the event page saying you would like to cohost or you could send a private message. Your help is much appreciated! **Advertising** external events: to cover funding for the club operation, anyone who wishes to advertise an external event will have to pay an advertising fee, sent via services like PayPal. Ask the owner of the club Mart about publishing an external event and you will be given an event page with organizer permissions. Before you post anywhere (e.g. as a comment) in the club pages about an external event, make sure to pay the fee first to Mart, otherwise your post will be deleted without notice -- advertising without paying a fee to help the club keep running will not be accepted. **Outside business** who would like to advertise and/or offer services with the club (and to club members) including during the events will have to make themselves known to the members and will have to pay a fee to help the club keep running. Contact the owner of the club Mart and let your case be known. You should pay the fee before posting anything offering a service or business as advertisement to our members. If you post without paying the fee to help the club keep running, your post will be deleted without notice. **Venue sponsorship and partnering up**. If you are a business owner and would like to feature your venue in one of events, contact Mart to work out the details. In exchange for helping your business, we would like you to help the members of the club. Discounts, deals, etc, for our club members are welcome. You can also help fund the club operations by paying us a fee.
