This movie meetup group is a sister site of the well-established Atlanta Movie Club Meetup group (link: https://www.meetup.com/atlantamovieclub/) which has almost 2,000 members. In a way, it is essentially an advertisement for the Atlanta Movie Club events. I was forced to open this "duplicate" meetup group as due to some bug in Meetup.com's software (which they are refusing to fix) Atlanta Movie Club events are not showing up when people outside the group search for movies. This is a group for everyone who loves and enjoys movies. We mainly focus on independent and foreign movies but not exclusively. Our meetings take place at movie theaters such as Midtown Art Cinema, and Springs Cinema & Taphouse, etc.  We certainly meet for dinner and conversation before or after the movie. We generally announce events weekly on Tuesday or Wednesday as that is when the theaters we watch movies in make their weekend schedules public. This is also a social group and we hold activities such as stand-up comedy, bar trivia, and karaoke. Please feel free to suggest event ideas. All ages and backgrounds are welcome! I am truly a movie fan and hope people alike join this group. We welcome and encourage new members, I hope all movie aficionados can find a place in this group.  Now the not so fun part. I will be enforcing a profile picture rule, therefore I will ask everyone to have a picture of their face in order to join or stay in the group.
