Anyone in a leadership role of a LGBTQ+ meetup group, facebook group, or other external LGBTQ+ social organization in in Rhode Island, Connecticut or Massachusetts can join. A social group is any organization that revolves primarily around socializing, hobbies, or other activities. Representatives of organization advocating of an underrepresented populations within the LGBTQ+ community are also encouraged to join, even if they don't revolve around socialization.

I recently joined meetup and i think it is a great idea and a way to meet new people and make new friends. I am forming this group because I feel there is a real need for widow/ers who have gone through the grief group process and are looking for something more now. You get to that point and say now what? This is something more enjoyable and fulfilling while still getting some support when you need it. So come out and join some friends you haven't met yet and we will laugh and cry together. You have nothing to lose but the loneliness we all have felt.

* Members: We welcome everyone who is single, married, divorced, widowed, etc. This is not a dating site, but a great way to meet new people and make new friends. We vision our members coming from all backgrounds and stages in life who want to enjoy life and activities. This group will bring you face-to-face to meet and interact with your extended community while having fun at the same time.

* Founders Bio: Maureen and Rich enjoy meeting new people and have a passion for bringing people together to enjoy all life has to offer. We both discovered meetup and met each other at an event. We both belong to several wonderful groups and love hosting events. We decided to expand our social circles by creating our own meetup group that encompasses a larger geographical area and organizes unique events that range from mild to wild.

* Geographical Area: The greater New England Area (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT). We will host events in your neck of the woods as well as other areas of New England and beyond. We moved from CT to MA. No worries we will continue to host events throughout New England.

*Types of Events: We will organize unique events along with the tried and true popular events. You want to try something new or cross something off your bucket list, keep your membership current and your eyes open for all the events we post. The following is a small sample of a types of events to expect: Pot Luck socials, themed parties, holiday celebrations, dancing / live-music, bucket-list checking activities, BBQs, Sporting events (Patriots Fans, and others), beer / wine tastings, brewery tours, archery, kayaking, camping, bonfires, hiking, last minute things to do, etc...

*Ideas: We are always open to ideas or suggestions for events you might like to see us host. If you would like to organize an event with "Events Gone Wild" please send us a private message.

*Event Planning: We are event specialists. We can help you plan, organize, and implement your own special event. If you are interested please send us a private message and we can discuss how we may be able to help you. * Fees: Membership FREE until July 1, 2016. Starting 7/1/2016 membership is $5 / year . Certain events may require additional fees; these fees shall be listed on the event page.

This group is for young professionals who are looking to try new activities in the metro west area and meet new people. We are open to new ideas and welcome anyone who would be interested in hosting events with us!   Examples of activities include: hiking, live music, game nights, dinners, wine nights, rock climbing, ice skating, dancing, festivals, apple picking, trivia nights, music bingo, etc!  

Hopkinton Newcomers Social Club offers community members a way to meet neighbors, build friendships and contribute to the community through a variety of social activities and special events. New and established residents of Hopkinton are welcome. Join us to make new friends in a casual social setting.

The club plans monthly social gatherings for individuals, couples and families. Some of our interest groups have included Book Club, Ladies’ Night Out, Creative Neighbors Craft Group, Bunco, Scrapbooking, Couple's Events, Family Events, Gourmet Group, Around the Town, and a Walking Club. We also have offered Special Events planned by our Social Committee, such as our Annual Wine Tasting and Lobsta’Fest, and occasional community service activities.

HNSC is open to all residents of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, as well as to those with a business affiliation here. So whether you are new to town, or have lived in Hopkinton for years, married or single, with kids or empty nesters...we welcome you to join us!

Note: The Club has been on sabbatical for some time now. We are gearing up to get it running again so committee chairpeople are needed to help plan events. If you enjoy leading small groups, have a craft you'd love to share, or like to organize events, we need your help. Don't be shy! Come check us out!

This group is designed to meet during the day, not evenings. We are open to everyone who wants to make new friends, go to movies, or just go out for lunch or coffee. We also like to cook and bake so maybe we can exchange recipes etc..

Are you a "mature" mother of a pre-school child who wants to connect with other moms? Would you like to make new friends for yourself and find playmates for your kids? Then join us!

Did you come of age during the Cold War and scandals like the Iran Contra affair? Did you spend hours watching MTV when all it showed were 24-hour music videos? Did you play with a Rubik's Cube or try to clear the last level of Pac Man? Did you ever have the hallmark "big hair?" Do you remember the original Pop Rocks and the "New Coke?" Can you do all the "arm moves" for Y.M.C.A.? And did you truly get tired of hearing your doctor refer to you as a "mother of advanced maternal aged?" (I did!)

If yes... then...

You should join other like-minded moms for playdates, coffee, lunch, free activities at local libraries (like story time, music shows, magicians) and other kid-friendly activities. We plan Moms' Night Out once each month for some grown-up conversation. Our calendar is bursting with fun activities that include kid-friendly outings, playground playdates, and library events. We welcome all suggestions for activities.

Our group is designed primarily for stay-at-home mothers of children from newborns to kindergarten who are able to take part in daytime events, but working mothers are certainly welcome. We plan some weekend events to accommodate those who can't meet during the day.

We welcome diversity and differing opinions, and hope that we can cultivate a close-knit group of mothers connecting around their kids. Moms who share an interest in attachment parenting, breastfeeding, eating healthy and organic, co-sleeping, the "no-cry sleep solution," baby wearing, cloth diapering, green living, recycling, alternative or holistic medicine, or natural parenting are especially encouraged to join. But ALL are welcome!

Expectant mothers and stay-at-home dads welcome, too!

This is a group for people who want to get together to have a great time...singles male and female or couples.....we are geared to a variety of interest and activities.... We just want to have fun.....

We are looking for like minded Baby Boomers+ and Baby Bloomers (50 +) who want to be socially active, but being alone don't have a buddy to engage in a variety of activities. Some of the activities we have had range from attending Patriots Football games at a local venue to monthly oldies dances, theater, community activities, day trips, apple picking, music, mini-golf, dancing, fairs, dining out, and house party. Well, we're in search of other down-to-earth, sincere, classy women, with a positive outlook, who love to laugh, share stories, and have a good time. Please join us to meet other local women for fun and friendship.

Expand your circle of girlfriends who share your interests, by meeting and socializing with other fabulous women living in Westboro, Northboro, Southboro, Hopkinton, Marlboro, Hudson, Natick, Framingham, Ashland, Wayland, Worcester, etc.

Make new friends and explore new places. Go out and have some fun. We have a wide range of activities, and we're always looking for new places to visit and things to do. We love to try new restaurants, go to the movies, meet for cocktails, or just have a casual pizza night. We're up for trying everything from indoor rock climbing to wine tastings.

Our goal is to have at least one event each week on our calendar. Lately, we've often had three or four meetups to choose from. Most weeks, there is something on our calendar for everyone, with both weeknight and weekend events planned. But if nothing appeals to you, we're open to suggestions for Meetups that interest you. Most of our events occur along the Route 9 corridor, between Framingham and Worcester, often in Westborough and the surrounding area. Occasionally, we head toward Boston.
