This group is not for parents, couples who plan to have children, or empty nesters. There are a lot of other groups for you. This is for completely childfree couples who plan to stay childfree by choice or are childfree or childless by circumstance. If you are unsure that this group is for you, please join us for one of our virtual meet and greets and get to know others and ask questions. The goal of this group is to create an additional social outlet and opportunities for like-minded couples to connect and make friends who are also childfree. The events can be dinners, brunches, classes, parties, happy hours, etc. You name it, we might do it! We are based in South Lyon, so our events could be anywhere from Novi to Plymouth to Ann Arbor to Milford. If you are interested in organizing an event in these areas or another, please let us know. RULES FOR THE GROUP 1. You must have a picture that shows your face. 2. The events are for childfree or childless couples, not for individuals to come without their partner 3. You must cancel 24 hours before an event, or you will be marked as no-show. 4. 3 no-shows in a 6 month period will result in removal from the group. 5. You are responsible for paying your bills at any event. 6. You are responsible for transportation to and from the event. Since there is no official vetting of members of this group, please do not carpool with complete strangers by asking for rides from someone you have never met. Let’s stay safe! 7. Welcome to making new friends in your 30’s and 40’s. As we get older, life changes and challenges can keep us from seeing our friends or having the same interests and lifestyle. Therefore, this group is for those who would like to build friendships, make connections and participate in a variety of activities with others.   I’d like to create a variety of events in Ypsilanti and the surrounding areas. At times, there may be some interesting and fun events that happen outside these areas that I may put out there. Singles are totally welcomed as well 🙂 Hello, everyone. We are Rose and Scott, and we're engaged without any children. We moved to Detroit last year and would like to start making friends now that we have adjusted to living in a new city. I (Rose) am originally from Tucson, AZ, and Scott is originally from Ohio. We met in Tucson and decided to move to Detroit so Scott could be closer to his parents. Today is May 22nd, 2024, and at this time we do not have any events/meetups scheduled yet. Please feel free to reach out if you have any recommended ideas. I have a few ideas and I hope I can come up with a fun event/meetup. I don't want this to be a group where you need to pay in advance to secure a spot. I would rather treat it as a place to organize mutually agreed upon meetups, such as everyone signing up to bring a meal to a cookout at a park, drinks at a wine bar, trying new food, etc. We are left-leaning individuals, and some of our interests include our dogs, music, reading, wine and cocktails, trying new restaurants, cooking (especially grilling), dinner parties, sitting around a fire, trivia, and chill hangouts in the backyard while drinking and eating. This group is for older adults 32-65+, of course, anyone 21 years and older is welcome. 2) The primary goal of this group is to ensure a safe and inclusive environment. Our group is for singles and we meet up restaurants for dinner and drinks, live music with dancing and outdoor events. Members idea's are always welcome for venues that bring like minded people together to socialize and make new friends.
