Join this group for fun cooking classes! Anyone can be an event organizer--just ask--and can post cooking events, wine tastings, food truck events, food festivals, anything like that! I especially wish to point out a very affordable series of classes, the World Cooking class. It's only $10 per person per event, and you will enjoy a feast at the end. We've been enjoying meals together since July 1, 2017. This is a group for anyone interested in getting out and enjoying all the awesome restaurants in and around St. Charles County. We mainly go to St. Charles, St. Peters, and O'Fallon, but also sometimes go Augusta/Defiance, Cottleville, Wentzville, and Lake St Louis. A few times a year, we do meals in St. Louis or Illinois. I have my favorites - I'm sure you do too. Suggestions from members are not only welcome, they're encouraged! One way we're different than many other dining out groups is that the restaurants that are chosen are not necessarily my personal favorites. In fact, we often go to restaurants I've never tried (and one that's loved by many members but I don't like)! When you join, you'll have an opportunity to tell me your personal favorites. (You can always add to your list later.) When I schedule our Meetups, I'll select a restaurant suggested by someone born during that month. Occasionally, I'll list several restaurants that have been suggested by quite a few members and ask our "Dining Out Foodies" to vote where we should go. I try to make our Meetups a mix of dinners, lunches, brunches, and breakfasts; a mixture of inexpensive and more pricey Meetups; a mixture of cuisines; and a mixture of days throughout the week. I also try to schedule a couple Meetups a year that aren't strictly eating out at a restaurant or in St. Charles County. We've been to the Whitmond House in Brussels, Illinois and had parties in January and July. Be sure to check out our scheduled Meetups. I'm sure you'll see some you would like. If not, why not let me know where YOU would like to go??? I'll be sure to add it to the calendar. I generally schedule at least one Meetup per week - often two, except around the winter holidays. Let's share our current favorite restaurants, find new ones, and make new friends along the way. Our yearly dues are $7.50. If you pay me in cash, dues are only $6.00. You'll have a 30 day trial before being required to pay dues. This amount covers membership in all three of my groups. **SINCE WE HAVE TO PLACE RESERVATIONS FOR ALL OUR MEETUPS, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT WE HAVE AN ACCURATE COUNT OF THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO WILL ATTEND.** Members who RSVP yes but do not attend (a no show), make our Meetup look bad in the eyes of restaurant owners, force restaurant owners to save table space they could use for paying customers and bring in extra workers, and make members who attend wait for you. **THEREFORE, ANY MEMBER WHO IS A NO SHOW 3 TIMES WILL BE PERMANENTLY REMOVED FROM THE GROUP.**

**Welcome to Girlfriends of Saint Charles County Bunco and Social Group!!!** **WE ARE** a fun social group that is for any woman 35 and older who loves getting together with friends for fun social gatherings. We are a diverse group of women who value our differences and are about friendships, fun, building each other up, and support. Some of us grew up here and others are new to the area. We do try to keep most activities in the Saint Charles County area, but we do occasionally like to see what's happening further out. We look for good deals to keep costs low on most activities and we also allow children/husbands at a few of our events that are more family oriented. **A COUPLE OF SIMPLE RULES to keep things running smoothly:** **1.** We do ask for you to have a current profile pic of just you to help us know who is who at events and can look for any new members. We would also like at least your first name to be displayed. **2.** We realize everyone has lives outside of Meetup, but we do ask that if you rsvp to attend an event and need to cancel, please do so no less than 24 hours before the event. Cancelling 3 times less than 24 hours before an event OR not showing up will result in removal from the group. It is very frustrating for a host to plan for guests then have them not communicate or cancel last minute. **LAST, BUT NOT LEAST** If you have any issues with members or events please feel free to message an admin. We will not all be best friends, but anyone bringing drama or negativity to the group will be removed. This group is for any married/couples, preferably 50 and older, who are physically active and interested in forming new friendships with other couples in the Saint Charles County area. Activities will include hiking, bicycling, kayaking, ice/roller skating, axe throwing, zip lines, live music, dining out and festivals plus whatever else the group members wish to do. We are still doing one or two outdoor activities every month even though they aren't listed on Meetup. Join the group and we will message you with information on upcoming events. We do have a few simple rules: 1. Must have a profile pic of you, alone or with other half - just want to put faces with names so we recognize each other when attending an event and know you are part of our group. 2.
