Nerds, geeks, dorks, otaku, gamers, enthusiasts, fans, and everything in between. For those that are putting the finishing touches on their latest cosplay, or if you just read a comic book for the first time in your life. For those that roll a 20 sided die every week, or those that just discovered anime through Netflix. For those that jailbreak, mod, and code, or those that are learning to print "Hello, World!" and just heard about this thing called Linux. All ages, races, genders, beliefs, and experience levels welcome. Whether you just finished Firefly for the first time and want to know where you can watch season 2, or you're a SuperWhoLockian that wants to share your latest fanfic with others like you, let's make this an accepting place for people into anything considered "geek"!

The MS Gulf Coast Personal & Professional Development Group intends to bring more personal growth opportunities to our community. If you are interested in achieving more, come join us. Gather with people interested in honing their leadership skills and developing more passion for pursuing their dreams.
Learn how to make goals to grow each aspect of your being while achieving balance. Create strategies for improving personal and professional relationships. Gain insight into living to your full potential from our carefully selected speakers, book reviews, and discussions.
Topics will include mindfulness and self-awareness, learning to give and receive feedback, the law of attraction, effective communication, the works of Napoleon Hill, Tom Wilhite, and other success experts.
Meeting locations will vary. This group welcomes anyone 18 years or older.

We are a group of adults of all skill levels and all fiber-y crafty persuasions. If there's a craft involving string of any kind, we probably have a member who does it!  We have knitters and tatters, of course, but also we are rife with crocheters and weavers and beaders and cross-stitchers.  There's even a spinner and a mosaic artist! Most of us have more than one craft, and we all really enjoy getting together and seeing each others' projects, and having people to bounce ideas off of and to help when we get ourselves lost in a corner.

We meet at the Margaret Sherry Library, on Popps Ferry Road in Biloxi, all Monday evenings except for state holidays when they close the doors on us.  Those days, we generally meet at the Food Court in Edgewater Mall.  Location for the specific meetup is always noted in the description for clarity.

The MGC Tech Startup group is a team of local entrepreneurs, focused on technology but welcoming members from every field of business. As current entrepreneurs, future entrepreneurs, developers, investors, educators, students, and service providers, we meet regularly to connect those interested in starting, growing, working for, investing in or providing valuable services to technology-related companies on the Mississippi Coast.

Other areas of the country have thriving and supportive "user groups" for every tech topic imaginable, sharing their ideas, talent, and support with each other. The Mississippi Coast should offer the same resources to the local community.
