Gilsum Treks

Gilsum, NH

Gilsum Treks

Due to Covid-19 we are currently limiting our membership to our local community. This group is only open to residents of Gilsum and the surrounding towns at this time.

Gilsum Treks is run by a small group of volunteers who enjoy spending time outdoors exploring their local region. Our walks and hikes will primarily be in Gilsum and the surrounding towns, but may venture out into the greater Monadnock region. Our monthly excursions will be led by a volunteer trip leader familiar with the hike. We are always open to new places to explore. We will be following all current Covid safety guidelines.

Event organizers will provide as much information as possible about the difficulty of each trip, with most trips being of easy or moderate difficulty to accommodate most hikers. Our hikes will be paced to keep everyone in the group more or less together the entire time. Please always review the event description carefully. You are responsible for determining whether you are physically able and have the time to attend an event. Take responsibility for your own safety and experience.

Hikes may occasionally have to be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather. We will strive to make this decision at least 24 hours in advance, but it is up to you to decide if you feel safe hiking in the current conditions.

Please use a photo of yourself as your profile picture for safety and so event hosts can recognize you when you arrive. Profiles without a face may send a private message to request an exception.

You do not need to RSVP "No" to an event unless you are changing your RSVP from a "Yes" to a "No."

Any attempts to increase the comfort and safety of events should not lead you to believe that event hosts are taking responsibility for your safety. By signing up for events, you are indicating that you are an adult who has the skills and ability to safely complete the described hike. Do not RSVP yes if this is not the case, as we will be relying on your judgment of your skills and ability. To read more about hiking safety, check out hikeSafe.com.

By RSVPing "Yes" to one of the events, Gilsum Treks members and their guests agree to release, hold harmless, and indemnify the event organizer(s) and all members participating in the event from any and all claims for property damage, injury, and/or death while attending events. Rail Trail Cycling Adventures

Jaffrey, NH

Rail Trail Cycling Adventures
This group is for like-minded people who are active and are 40-50 years old or older. We are enjoying the journey of our adventures and taking our time. We are a group who wants to meet new friends and participate in groups activities. We keep our event attendance at no more than 8-12 cyclists allowing all attendees to have interaction with each other. You will not find a large cycling event in this group.  We also ride at a slower pace of 6-10 mph and take multiple breaks to rest or for scenic vistas. We primarily have events on the the weekends or Thursdays (spring and fall). Let's explore the wonderful rail trails of New England by bicycle (primarily Southern NH, and rail trails 90 minutes from Jaffrey, NH that will include trails in Massachusetts). Learning the history of the rail trails along the way. Explore nature walks, beautiful gardens and scenic areas of New England. Perhaps some easy hikes or yoga. The focal events will primarily be biking on rail trails. The secondary events will be nature walks. Winter activities will be offered - snowshoeing, skiing or snowboarding, and easy winter hikes. **Donations welcome to offset cost of the organizer dues. Current dues for the organizer is $199 year. No obligation but if you feel obliged you can give a donation to the organizer of this meetup group. At the current time we do not plan to charge dues for membership.** **GUESTS:** Please contact the event organizer if you would like to bring a guest. All guests must abide by this meetup groups policies. However, our preference is your guest joins our group. **Event hosts/Event organizers needed** \- Because our group spans from New Hampshire\, Massachusetts\, Vermont\, and potentially beyond\, we need regional hosts to maintain an active group\. If interested send me a message\. **PHOTO POLICY** \- Please maintain a forward facing profile photo of yourself where your entire face is able to be seen clearly\. For safety reasons our members and organizers need to recognize you at events\. Members without this photo are **not allowed** to join our group nor participate in our group events.    **RSVP ETIQUETTE**: We hope when you RSVP to an event, you are committing to the event or you feel certain you will be able to attend. We understand sometimes the unexpected occurs and you need to cancel. If you cannot make it to an event, we ask that you please edit your RSVP at least two days prior to the event date or as soon as you know **and** leave a comment that you will be unable to attend as courtesy to other attendees and the event organizer. Changing your RSVP the night before the event or less than 24 hours before the event gives the organizer very short notice and is disappointing to others who are expecting you to attend.  Any member who cancels their RSVP the day of the event without a valid reason three or more times, may be removed from the group at the discretion of the organizer. ***Cancelling your RSVP with our group due to moving off a waitlist (and moved to a going list) with another meetup groups event that is the same day as ours is not respectful to our group. Frequent changes to RSVP's may result in your removal from our group.*** **If you are WAITLISTED on another groups event, please do not sign up for an event with our group until either you take yourself of the other meetup group event or it looks like you will not get onto the other groups going list. Please delay signing up for our event until you know with high probability that you can attend.** ***Please be respectful to our attendees and organizers who are looking forward to seeing you.***   **DOGS:** We will allow dogs on nature walks or hikes. Dogs are not allowed on cycling events. Dogs must be well-behaved and on a traditional leash. We ask that you do not have your dog on a retractable leash. If the event venue does not allow dogs, it will be posted in the event description. **LIABILITY STATEMENT:**   The organizers of this meetup are volunteers; you release and hold harmless the leader(s) and all members of this group from any and all claims for property damage, injury, illness, disability, and/or death - including those caused by negligence and/or other reasons. Vermont (and New England) Gay Men’s Massage & Wellness

Newfane, VT

Vermont (and New England) Gay Men’s Massage & Wellness
This group is designed to connect gay men with other gay men in group or one-on-one sessions of shared male intimacy. There may be events that are specific to experience levels or physical limits, but all are welcome to use this platform to connect. That being said, this group is intended for men who strive to take care of their bodies and health. Gym, sports, yoga, hiking, cycling, etc. We are all on a path but let’s make sure we are on similar paths. Sharing techniques, instructional sessions, or simply exploration may be themes of events with the main goal to embrace our bodies, our sensuality and our connective ability with other gay men through varying levels of intimacy and touch. Group sessions may be guided or free-flowing based on session structure. As this group builds more events, workshops, and even field trips to Rock River may follow. Please note: The concept of this group is to explore male intimacy in an open, honest, and shame-free way. If you are comfortable and confident in your own sexuality there is no reason to remain in the shadows - even if you think you have a job that would frown upon it. Please have a face pic (or body & face pic) as your profile. This may be the first step for many of you to let go of the paranoia about shame and guilt and these are the beginning steps to understanding the complex levels of gay male intimacy. Yes, this is mostly for gay men. If you identify as bi-sexual, this is not ruled out, but you must have an understanding that being bi-sexual does not mean living a double life or being on the DL. Being bisexual is allowing yourself as a whole to experience and enjoy different human intimacies. To not understand the difference effects the energy of the group. Sharing the purpose of connection and intimacy is key in expanding one’s life experience. Learning more about male intimacy and ourselves is paramount in living these principles freely in our everyday lives and NOT using this platform as something alternative to your current situation. Lastly, this group is largely geared towards GenX age members. Those who are entering their mid-forties and getting close to mid-sixties: roughly ages 45-63. This is a complex generation that developed in a time that IS their shared experience. This is the first generation that had more legal options for openness and family while still raised in a gender-role dominated society placing pressures of manhood & masculinity. While Millenials are free to join, please know these differences. For Boomers, this is for those of you who chose a different path than what society laid out for you and paved the way for the next generations. Your insight is valued. We all are looking to be healed, but we all do not share the same wounds.
